Hey all. I've been whittling away Christmas and doing next to
nothing that I should be doing (such as writing fics. BTW, Flyz, should
I run with that idea I brought up?) and have been running on very little
sleep. I thought that I should do something, so I thought that I'd bring
up some character concepts that I was going to use for a ongoing fic.
The reason that I show them to all of you is because I'm after you're
opinion as to which fic I should do a fic on. Maybe Reiko could be Rei
Ayanami in Evangellion, or Travis Chambers Rebecca's brother in Resident
Evil. What do you think? Later.
For those long time members of the list, you may recall a Reiko
Andrews in the fic Beginning of Bond. Well for those who don't know,
she's a real person, my girlfriend. You can Email her at
sexaything@hotmail.com.au. Here's a discription below, with minor
liberties taken.
Reiko Andrews is the tomboy to end them all who gets through life
through influence and manipulation. She is a fan of the show Neon
Genesis
Evangellion, and is well aware that she shares the same initials as one
of the
shows main characters, Rei Ayanami. She would seem that she delibrately
acts the
total opposit of Rei, to spite her or something, but those who know her
knows
that she is always like this. Although fairly bright and definetly kind
hearted
with good morals, she is full of backchat and cheek with a neverending
list of
barbs she uses, every one a gem. Also, while she tends to hide it as
best she
can, people are aware that there is no depth she would not stoop to
achive her
own ends, to the extent that she threatened a bully with a toy gun..
Reiko
definetly has no problems making friends, as she is a very likeable
person. She
has the ability to attract people to her in many ways, such as her
looks, her
flair, her showmanship and her kindness. However, to bullies, Reiko is
their
worse nightmare. She is known to weed bullies out of the school system,
stooping
so low as to bully herself and spread rumours and lies. Previous schools
had made it
clear that this would not be tolerated, but Reiko has made it clear to
most
everyone where they can stick it. She is someone that other woman would
love to hate, but she's just too nice. She's very beautiful, but instead
of
being up herself or arrogant, she feels that she's gifted and lucky that
she is
the way she is and is very kind (when she stops being a goofball, that
is). Her
heroes are of the tomboy variety, Claire Redfield, Rally Vincent and the
like.
She is generally very laid back, very easy going, and has no hassels
about life.
As she sees it, it doesn't matter if she succeeds, fails, is the best,
or even the worst, but what is important to her is that people recognise
that
she does her best. But she doesn't always do her best, as she has other
interests that conflict with her goals. One of these is boys. She's a
compulsive
flirt who is very forward, but she is sensible enough not to take them
to bed. Another
is cars. She hopes to own a collection of racing cars and owns a replica
Shelby, the same car that
Rally Vincent drives, and has her sights set on a car owned by one of
her old
teachers; a Mitsubishi GTO. Her parents also have good taste in cars,
owning an
Alfa Romao that was (get this) bought from someone who won it and didn't
want
it. Reiko is also big on the military, but there are a lot of things
about it
that make her have reservations about it, such as their attitudes
towards
killing, for example. People around her also wonder if she would be able
to take
the discipline. There is no questioning that she could take the
punishment; she
claims that she is the biggest fan of the WWF and with her tall,
athletic and
musculer frame she looks like the next woman's champion. She likes a
comment
made to her that she looks like X-Man's Psycloke with a haircut, because
really
it's true. A tall lean frame, well defined muscle that's easily hidden
under
street clothes and a body to die for, Reiko knows this and uses it to
her full
advantage. When she isn't doing work she is playing video games (of
wrestling,
natch) and watching Stone Cold videos. She stays in shape by copying a
number of
wrestling moves, including Stone Cold Steve Austin's Stone Cold Stunner
and
Shawn Michael's Sweet Chin Music superkick. She has dreams of flight,
which is
evident in the various high flying moves she preforms. However, she
won't go
near a move called the Shooting Star Press. This is when someone jumps
off a
ring turnbuckle or some other high up place, preforms a backwards
somersault in
mid air and lands on their opponent. She says how too many wrestlers has
injured
themselves doing it. D'Lo Brown knocked out his teeth when he tried to
do it,
and Chris Jericho had to have a steel plate placed in his shoulder after
he
landed wrong doing it. Reiko is also concerned about a number of
incidents that
have happened in wrestling, such as the carear ending match between
Goldberg and
Bret Hart, the death of his brother Owen and the death of a wrestler who
took on
Triple H and Billy Gunn in a hardcore match that shook the whole WWF
(note: this
is fictional, but I thought that I'd put it in anyway). The videos

With Shadows and Beyond the Mat have really opened Reiko's eyes. In
spite of all
Reiko's casuelness, and indeed, her outright tomboy attitude, she does
have her
moments. She's willing to help anyone who needs help, she comes up with
some
absolute pearlers of thoughts to serious matters, and she has basically
stayed
out of trouble. For now.. She is usually accompanied by Linda Inezh and
Dwayne Ravall
(note: these arn't major characters, think Ward and Kiros, or Rajin and
Fujin from Final
Fantasy, and as such I thought that a detailed discription wouldn't be
nessacery. I have included
stats, and can give you background information if you so wish).
Melodramatic hook: There area lot of things that can draw Reiko
into the
thick of things, often dragging someone else with her (don't be
surprised if
Travis makes an appearence somewhere). Wrestling, the military, cars,
flight,
most of these would get a positive response from Reiko, either
conversation or
joy or excitment. The military however you have to be careful with when
you talk
to Reiko about it. If Reiko starts hearing about military protocol and
the like,
then a negative response is usually illicited. She probably wouldn't
want to
talk about it, or she may talk about it with a very cynical edge (she
doesn't
usually show anger, though it happens). Or, if she feels it's the best
way to
describe it, she'll tell the truth. She usually brings up how the
military is
only interested in killers, which she firmly believes is true (note:
this
reflects a lot of my feelings, the part about the military interested in
killers
was driven home when I approached them about a role similer to Commander
Harman
Rabb in JAG, a lawyer, or a psychologist. They didn't want to know me).
Other
girls Reiko knows talk about boys and sex, which she plays along with,
maybe
making a joke about the song Let's Talk About Sex or a horrible,
horrible joke
about the song Girls Just Want to Have Fun (she changes the words
around, see if
you can figure it out). She also shares dirty jokes and the like, but to
Reiko,
she doesn't talk about it. She does it.

He said once on owning a owning a fish that away from a possible
carear as a doctor, Dwayne wants no more responsibility than to keep
himself fed and

Travis Chambers. He gets through life purely on luck. His older
sister is a soldier and he hopes to follow in her
footsteps. What is his sister's name? This, like a lot of things about
Travis, are kept to himself. He is 16 and male. He has a
red headband, a memento of his sister, but he hardly ever wears it apart
from playing sport. He is rather good at sports and
an excellent basketball player, but he doesn't like playing hockey as it
hurts his back. He lifts weights, but like sports, this
really isn't his fortay, despite looking to be in top physical shape. He
has nightmares of his sister being tortured and killed, and
has more than once woken up in a cold sweat after bad dreams. He is also
fixated on a dream he had that he describes as
being ripped from the pages of the X Files, conspiricies, secret
experiments...it all stems from what his sister had gone
through, though nothing else is known about it. He is six foot four and
two hundred and twenty five pounds (97.5 kilograms)
of finely tuned muscle. He's no 'He-Man', but with his green singlet and
mustache, he looks like the drill instructer that seems
to be in every military movie. His tanned skin comes from living in the
warmer sides of America midwest, spending summers
in Texas. Everyone wants to talk to him about the sports events he used
to attend, but he doesn't seem to make a big deal
about them. If he's not out with his friends (who surprisingly can be
anyone at any time just as easily as it can be no one) he
can be found at home. With no TV or video games he can either be found
reading or listening to music, where his tastes in music are as
difficult to figure out as the man himself. On more than one occasion he
was found sleeping instead of doing what everyone else was doing, and
while he is none the wiser about it it is big talk when he is out of
earshot. Everyone seemed so surprised at it. He actually sleeps a lot
more than people think. Travis is quite a hard person to figure out. His
classmates and friends had long ago given up on thinking of a label for
him. He isn't the happy type, but is generally easy going. He doesn't
seem depressed, though his fears over his sister obviously trouble him.
He never makes excuses, but at times it is easy to tell that he is
tired, unwell, under stress or pressure, whatever. When he's out, he
generally spends all of his money on drinks, staying away from alcohol
of course. If there's one thing that people have figured out about him,
he needs a lot of fuel to keep going. He often chatacises people about
smoking, drinking and gambling, a lot of the follies of youth, but he
means well and only intends to protect others. One thing that he hasn't
touched on is sex. There is a lot of speculation about his romantic
life. His standered disclaimer on the subject is that he loves his
sister, no other woman could come close. But he is interested. He falls
head over heels for anyone with any resemblence to Maya Ibuki. Or Sandra
Bullock. Or a lot of people. But he is a master at hiding it. He spent
New Years with a friend of his sister's and he recalls how good it was
often. There was talk about how he tried to court this one girl, but
that's all it is, talk. Sometimes his friends and classmates believe
that he lets oppotunity pass him by, particularly in his love life, but
he just says how it's better...the way it is. When he was in clooege, no
one was surprised to find that he had a stash of weapons and military
clothing, including a uniform from his sister's military unit in his
size, knives, chains, a crossbow and replica guns. Some people say that
he is into that sort of thing, others say it was for self defense. When
asked about it, Travis said how he was under the understanding that he
was allowed to have them. Despite not trying very hard, he was a big
time teacher's pet, so he was let off the hook. He used to watch
hundreds of movies when he was younger, but he seems to have grown off
them now. As far as goals go, he maintains that if his sister needs him,
then he'd be there, but he seems very dedicated wherever he is.
Melodramatic Hook, um, his nightmares would probably
sufface. He is quite touchy when it comes to technology. Not technology
itself, but more science. He can sometimes get
pretty steemed about it, though this wouldn't be what would get to him
the most. What would get to him the most is anything
degraduary about his sister. There was one incident where this happened
and no one knows what Travis did to the person
who had a go at his sister, or if he did anything at all, but he
(everyone figured that it was a he) was never heard from again.
He is also plotting revenge against someone else, for, as he says,
'making his worst fear a reality.'
