    Actually, it's been done (not the same _way_, but it's been done. In

Dreiser's "Life After Ranma" series of shortfics and heavily alluded to in

my own "Le Plus Ca Change" (shameless plug ~_^) They're so perfect for each

other, I'm surprised it hasn't been done more often, though. They're a

natural set.

They may appear to go together, but one of the problems lies in the fact
that their goals are vastly different from each other, and most of the time
one can't see how their paths would cross and they still retain their own
identities. In hindsight after attempting to do this myself I doubt they'd
rub the right way because of this (Taro: Kodachi = wimpy pampered girl with
stupid laugh; Kodachi: Taro = uncultured/unrefined backwater barbarian with
a stupid laugh).
