Yo. Posted the original version of this fic idea a while back. I fleshed it

out a bit, but never got around to actually writing it. It's up for grabs,

if anyone wants it. (I certainly hope somebody picks it up, cause I'm too

busy writing my other stuff to work on it. It'd be a shame to see it just go

to waste.) If nobody wants it, expect it in a year or two . . .

Oh, and watch for the typos.

SeventhOne

Saving the world from faulty thinking, 1999.

Upon returning home one day, Kinomoto Ranma detects some

awfully eerie sounds coming from the basement. Investigating,

he finds a really old book glowing on one of his father's

bookshelves. You know the story. The idiot touches it, gets

knocked out, and wakes up several hours later to find looking

at him what appears to be the face of a Tarepanda. He gets up,

and realizes that he seems a lot shorter than he used to be. A

lot softer too.

The panda Peroberos (P-chan for short), who claims to be the

Guardian of the book, informs the newly transformed Ranma

that he's (or she's) released fifty-one magical cards created by

the great (albeit somewhat perverted) Mage Clow Reed

(known to some as Ba Pao Crowley, or Happosai). It's

Ranma's duty to retrieve all of the cards. On the condition that

Ranma does, "he" might be able to return to "his" original

form . . .

Course, the person returning to original form once collection is

complete isn't exactly Ranma. It's Peroberos (he wants to

revert to his more handsome form as a Giant Panda), but

Ranma doesn't know that. She assumes that she'll change

back, so she agrees to capture all the cards.

At this point . . .

Enter Kinomoto Ukyou and Kinomoto Tofu, Ranma's twin sister

and father respectively. At first they wonder exactly why a cute

little girl is standing alone in their basement, but Ranma and

P-chan somehow manage to convince them that Ranma's who

she was. They listen out the tale, and decide that until

reversion to normal form, Ranma's gonna attend elementary

school all over again . . .

Meet Kinomoto Sakura, age eight. A lively girl, currently best

friends with a money-grubbing, evil . . . er, nice "talented" girl

named Saotome Nabiki. Sakura's secret hobbies: beating up

her "older" sister in martial arts, teasing her older sister's best

friend (er, lover?) Tsukishiro Akane, and capturing escaped

magical relics while wearing frilly pastel-colored clothing made

by a friend.

The cold and somewhat socially inept half-blind Chinese

magician Li Mu Tsu shows up several episodes in, and his

self-proclaimed fiance Li San Pu comes in after another few.

Tatewaki and Hinako are out there and waiting . . .

Character Listings for CCR

***

Amamiya Family:

---

1st Generation

Amamiya Soun (married to the late Fujisawa Kimiko):

Owner of Amamiya Enterprises, a large electronics

conglomerate. He's recently taken a step back from actually

operating the company. The reason? Since the death of his

favorite granddaughter Kasumi, he's become rather prone

to . . . emotional outbursts. Generally a kind old man.

Somewhat traditionalist.

---

2nd Generation

Amamiya Arisu, Amamiya Kara, Amamiya Tokimi

Not much is known about these three.

---

3rd Generation

by Amamiya Arisu (married to ???)

Shidou Nodoka (married to the late Saotome Genma):

Acting President of Amamiya Enterprises. A wife, a mother, a

modern business-woman, a pedophile, and a closet-lesbian

with a film and clothing fetish. Oh, and despite her tendencies,

she's a very strict traditionalist. Wears kimonos and carries

around her family sword. She's vowed to make her daughter

Nabiki a "woman among women," whatever that means . . .

Obsessed with Kasumi, Ukyou, and most recently, Sakura.

by Amamiya Tokimi (married to ???)

Tendou Kasumi (aka Seirei Tenshi Kasumi, married to

Kinomoto Tofu):

Extremely naive house-wife type with just as much

air-headedness as beauty. Was a model for most of her teens.

Died at 19, only to be resurrected by Kinomoto Tofu (without

his conscious knowledge of taking part in such an act). Quit

modeling at 20 to become a homemaker. "Faded away" at 27

due to Tofu's inability to continuously maintain her physical

form. Her soul is still in stasis, but everybody who knows her

thinks she's dead. When she manifests, she takes the guise of

an Angel. Has powers equivalent to Yue, but several times

weaker.

by Amamiya Kara (married to ???)

Terada Yoshiyuki:

Sakura's homeroom teacher. Basically a younger and less

emotional version of his grandfather. The term "bishounen"

comes to mind. Engaged by his parents to one Kaho Hina,

though he hasn't knowingly met her in person before. (He has,

but are we gonna tell him that?) All around nice guy.

---

4th Generation

by Shidou Nodoka (married to the late Saotome Genma)

Saotome Nabiki:

An *extremely* talented individual, strong in every area,

especially math. She recognizes only her singing voice and her

ability to manipulate as somewhat special. Possesses all of her

mother's more . . . er, unhealthy obsessions. (With the addition

of a money obsession.) Currently infatuated with Kinomoto

Sakura, even while holding the secret knowledge of Sakura's

true identity. She has plans to make Sakura her eventual

love-slave, no matter Sakura's apparent sex or age.

by Tendou Kasumi (married to Kinomoto Tofu)

Kinomoto Ranma (aka Kinomoto Sakura):

Kinomoto Ranma is a martial arts jock. Not your average

martial arts jock, but a martial arts jock nonetheless.

Obnoxious, rude, egotistical, and socially inept, by some

miracle he has the most efficient learning curve seen

*anywhere* for at least two or three centuries. He still gets Fs

in school . . . Likes to pick on his "manly" sister, but does nice

things for her once in awhile. He secretly thinks that she's a

cute girl, but he'll never admit it in public.

Kinomoto Sakura is the result of a mishap with a magical

security system gone awry. (It was supposed to keep hands off

by turning the owners of nosy hands into nubile young

women . . . thereby leaving their hands full. In Ranma's case,

the spell overdid the young and left out the nubile.) She's . . .

er, genki and kawaii, and she's unconsciously losing herself in

the mental state that 8-year-old little girls tend to be in. When

she remembers, she tries to assert her masculinity. She fails

miserably. Blackmailed into friendship by one Saotome Nabiki,

who just so happens to know who she really is. Sakura's been

chosen to become the heir of Happosai, and one of Happosai's

aspects has plans to use her in an attempt to fulfill another

pact he's made . . .

Ranma (and/or Sakura) absolutely detests Tsukishiro Akane,

because he/she perceives Akane to be perverting his/her sister

into lesbianism.

Kinomoto Ukyou:

Second-rate martial artist, cook, crossdresser, and

closet-lesbian. She's into crossdressing because her Auntie

Nodoka severely traumatized her with pink frilly dresses when

she was a kid. She cooks at various restaurants all over Tokyo

in a vain attempt to save up money for some vague grand

purpose she's gonna achieve in the future. It's probably her

own restaurant . . . She's a martial artist because of sibling

rivalry, but she knows that she'll never win Ranma. She spars

with him (or her) on a regular basis in the Kinomoto front yard.

She's "secretly" obsessed with her best friend Akane. After

Ranma's change, she picks on him about his "manhood."

Sweet revenge. =)

***

Li Family:

1st Generation

Li Chen Mei (amazon exile, married to Song Chen Gen):

Originally to be heir to the Amazon Lore-Keeper, as she

showed remarkable magical abilities at a young age. Exiled

from the Amazons at 17 for free-thinking; she married a normal

businessman. She moved to Hong Kong, where she died.

---

2nd Generation

Li Long Pei (briefly married to J.T. Crowley):

Eldest daughter. Moved to England for an education, where

she met J.T. Crowley, then a European History Professor at

Cambridge. Had a brief fling with him, and gave birth to a son,

who she named Ba Pao Crowley. J.T. Crowley never

recognized Ba Pao as his son, and he left her. He later went on

to father the famous A.J. Crowley with a woman who shall not

be named here.

Li Wan Chu, Li San Shia

Not much is known about these two.

Li Fong Yao

Youngest daughter; possessed the greatest magic ability in her

generation. Married a famous mage, and had an equally

talented daughter by him.

---

3rd Generation

by Li Long Pei (briefly married to J.T. Crowley)

Ba Pao Crowley (aka Clow Reed, Happosai, Pou Tien Lien):

The illegimate midget brother of A.J. Crowley. Happosai is

rumored to have been the greatest mage of the century. During

his brief stay at Hogwarts (he was expelled for sexual

misconduct with coeds), he made a pact with the animated

projection of Salazar Slytherin. He saw to it that it would be his

duty to locate and educate the true heir of Slytherin. After

leaving the school and figuring out the secret to immortality, he

spent most of his years wandering around Asia with his two

magical servants (Yue and Peroberos) doing all sorts of

misdeeds to innocent (and sometimes not-so-innocent) young

women. Associated with the then-young and now-forgotten

thief Lupin II, and established the general M.O. that would later

be copied by Lupin III. Friends with Marlo Constantine, a minor

necromancer who never left what some snobby English mages

refer to as "Muggledom." He died in 1923 by magical suicide.

The exact cause is unknown, but before his death he split his

soul in two. These two souls reincarnated with different

aspects of his original personality. (Note: not appearance.) The

Slytherin Pact was left to his estate to fulfill. Creator of the

legendary Clow Cards, which disappeared upon his death.

by Li Fong Yao (married to Chin Long)

Li Ku Long (aka Mistress Cologne, Grand Elder Ku Long):

Highly skilled mage, around 15 years Happosai's junior. Never

managed to even get close to reaching Happosai's level of skill

or power, but made herself formidable with the knowledge of

obscure or supposedly lost spells. Graduated from Hogwarts

with full honors and went on to serve to Li Clan as Tactical

Advisor. Accepted in 1936 as Honorary Amazon. Dangerously

envious of the power Happosai possessed in his prime. A

member of the Unseelie court.

by Li San Shia (married to ???)

Li Chong Ching, Li Hua Tien

Not much is known about these two.

---

4th Generation

by Ba Pao Crowley (magically)

Peroberos (aka Tarepanda, Pero-chan, P-chan, Hibiki Ryoga):

Guardian of the War and Death Suites in the Clow Cards.

Represents the Sun. In sealed form, he appears remarkably

similar to a Tarepanda. In normal form, he's a large fat panda.

In human form, he appears to be a chronically shy martial arts

jock. He has a magically bad sense of direction, and he tends

to randomly teleport to different places. (Happosai specifically

designed him this way. Comedy value.) Has a crush on Yue,

even if she is a cold lesbian wench. Currently the pet/advisor of

one Kinomoto Sakura.

Yue (aka Tsukishiro Akane, Kawaiikune Tomboy, Lesbian

Weirdo):

Guardian of the Famine and Pestilence Suites in the Clow

Cards. Represents the Moon. In sealed form, she looks like a

tomboy. In human form, she looks like a tomboy. In normal

form, she appears to be a lesbian with a fetish for strange

clothing. She has a magically bad sense of purpose, and tends

to overdo anything she does. She irrational fear of water, even

though she can technically control it. (Happosai specifically

designed her this way. Comedy value.) Has a crush on Ukyou.

Currently Ukyou's best friend (lesbian lover?).

by Ba Pao Crowley (division of souls)

Kinomoto Tofu:

One of the aspects of Happosai. "Reborn" with Happosai's

kindness, naivete, foolishness, compassion, and good humor.

Possesses a small amount of Happosai's magic, which he can

use only unconsciously. Uses a good bit of it maintaining his

wife Kasumi's existence. He unknowingly made her his magic

servant after resurrecting her from a car accident she had

when she was 19. Knows nothing of his heritage. Currently a

professor at Tokyo Medical University, and a collector of rare

books.

Hiiragizawa Tatewaki:

The other aspect of Happosai. "Reborn" with Happosai's

memory, perversion, obsession, delusion, ruthlessness, and

magic. Interestingly, Tatewaki possesses an extremely rigid

system of honor. Attended Hogwarts in 1950 in the first of

several attempts to fulfill Happosai's pact with Slytherin. Main

representative of the Estate of Clow Reed. His most recent

project was to ensure the creation of Kinomoto Sakura,

Happosai's heir. Following up, he's disguised himself as an

elementary school student in an attempt to approach Sakura.

He's managed to become the sworn adversary of one Harry

Potter while fabricating his history (he was sorted into the

Slytherin House at Hogwarts before finalizing his plans to leave

for Japan). He's developed a crush on Sakura . . . Has a

penchant for speaking in broken Shakespearian. Believes

Sakura to have been born a girl, despite having a rather high

intelligence and viewing facts to the contrary.

by Ba Pao Crowley (married briefly to Kaho Fujiko)

Kaho Masa (married to Masaki Ryoko):

Heir to his late mother's Shinto shrine, and told to aid the

descendants of Clow Reed. Never found out about who his

father was . . . He married the ex-fiance of one of his contacts.

Not much else is known about him.

by Ba Pao Crowley (married briefly to ???)

Fujitaka Miko:

Disappeared at 16, never to be heard from again. Current

whereabouts unknown.

by others

???

---

5th Generation

by Kinomoto Tofu (magical rebirth)

Tendou Kasumi (aka Seirei Tenshi Kasumi)

by Hiiragizawa Tatewaki (magically)

Akizuki Kodachi (aka Black Moon):

Represents to Moon, as she claims to ("Black Moon!"). Evil,

obsessive, maniacal . . . you get the idea. Basically an SM

Queen with strange ideas about modesty and etiquette. (Not

that different from Kuno Kodachi.) She's madly infatuated with

Kinomoto Ukyou, who she believes to be the male Ranma.

Doesn't know about Sakura's true identity, despite all the clues

dropped. Human form makes her look like a deranged

school-girl. Normal form gives her the SM Queen look, with

wings.

Gan Sasuke (aka Gan-chan, Eclipse):

A fusion of Gan the Rat from Mini-Goddesses and Sasuke

from Ranma. Extremely submissive rat-ninja. Represents the

Sun. Sealed form makes him look like a small rat. In normal

form, he looks like the Evil Fungus Monster . . . and in human

form, he's an unimpressive short guy with whiskers . . . Likes to

eat sweets.

by Kaho Masa (married to Masaki Ryoko)

Kaho Keitarou (married to Narusegawa Naru):

College professor, who, in his youth, wasted 3 years of his life

trying to get into Toudai. He eventually succeeded, but not until

after sustaining one final year of mind-bogglingly difficult

personal relationships and ridiculous amounts of bodily harm.

Came to a state where he just couldn't be hurt . . . He married

one of his childhood friends, and had one cute daughter. To the

disappointment of his parents, he never took up a job at their

shrine. They didn't blame him for it, though. They just roped his

daughter into doing it.

by others

???

---

6th Generation

by Kaho Keitarou (married to Narusegawa Naru)

Kaho Hina (aka Sasaki Hinako, Magic Girl Lovely Hina):

The strongest mage in several generations of the Kaho family.

She possesses one strange ailment: her body appears

abnormally young. Eventually learned that she could revert to

her correct age briefly with the aid of magic drained from

others. As an indirect consequence of her condition, she's

become a magic-girl wannabe (a state that she can actually

simulate to various degrees of success). In her child form,

she's fabricated an identity named Sasaki Hinako. She uses

this form to fulfill her duties as the Estate of Clow Reed; she

observes Kinomoto Sakura as a classmate. Has an immense

crush on Terada Yoshiyuki, her homeroom teacher and fiance.

He's not aware of her presence. In magic-girl form (actually

just her adult form with silly clothes and a little extra magic),

she refers to herself as Magic Girl Lovely Hina.

by Kinomoto Tofu (married to Tendou Kasumi)

Kinomoto Ranma (aka Kinomoto Sakura), Kinomoto Ukyou

from the line of Li Ku Long

Li Fu Tie, Li Shie Fa, Li Fan Ren, Li Fei Mei

Evil evil genki kawaii older sisters with fetishes for cute things.

Not much is known about them except that they tend to

terrorize their younger brother.

Li Mu Tsu (aka Mousse)

Half-blind, socially inept Chinese mage sent by his shrunken

great-grandmother to retieve what's allegedly a family relic.

Currently in love (or so he thinks himself to be) with the cute

Japanese girl who's also collecting the cards. Clueless. Hated

by Kinomoto Ukyou due to her sister complex. Cousin to Li

San Pu.

Li San Pu (aka Shampoo)

Brainless bimbo madly in love with Li Mu Tsu. Basically a

younger version of the original Shampoo, with that one

difference.

>From the line of Fujitaka Miko

Excel:

Overly talkative agent of the secret society known as

ACROSS. She appears to have certain . . . special abilities.

History unknown.

***

Metallium Family

---

1st Generation

Metallium Xelloss (aka Trickster Priest, You Bastard, married to

"That's a secret!"):

Extremely powerful non-aligned magical entity, who claims to

be a demon. Illegimate son of the Greater Beast-master Xelas

Metallium. Summoned from an alternate staff of reality during a

minor magical mishap by Ba Pao Crowley. Currently an

associate of Lupin III, and a sworn servant to the individual

known as the Phantom Stranger. Beyond these points, his life

is a mystery . . . Godfather to one Tim Hunter.

---

2nd Generation

Yamazaki Takashi (aka The Liar):

The Son of Xelloss, and a half-human. Supposedly more

powerful than his father . . . but if this is true, it's extremely well

hidden. He does ridiculously well in school, and makes a

hobby of lying to people. Unknown to his classmates, the

magical society refers to in fear as "the Liar." Secretly

infatuated with Mihara Chiharu.

***

Other groups

The Goddesses (and the lucky guy):

In the immortal words of, er . . . somebody, "Dark things are

afoot." The Goddesses have been made aware of such, and

are currently looking under their feet . . .

Morisato Belldandy (married to Morisato Keiichi):

Goddess of the Present, First Class Unlimited, retired.

Currently a mathematics teacher at an elementary school.

Naive house-wife type. Recently, she's been detecting strange

vibes from her students.

Skuld Odinsdotter:

Goddess of the Future, Second Class Limited, currently

attending the high school next to the school where her sister's

teaching. Techno-otaku, and rather suspicious of several of her

classmates . . .

Urd Odinsdotter:

barred from leaving Heaven in any way or form. Detecting

disturbances in the force . . . =)

Morisato Keiichi (married to Morisato Belldandy)

Deputy Head Technician at a UN-funded research project

called GEHIRN. Recently contacted by FBI Agent Fox Mulder,

supposedly for personal purposes.

---

The Senshi (and the idiot):

The original Senshi, except that they've never lived in Juuban.

They've creamed Sailor Galaxia, and now it looks like there's

a new group claiming to be the Black Moon, and yet another

the Death Busters . . . and what's this thing about the Unseelie

Court? What the hell is Across?

Tsukino Usagi, Aino Minako, Kino Makoto, Mizuno Ami, Hino

Rei, Tomoe Hotaru, Tenou Haruka, Kaiou Michiru, Meiou

Setsuna, Chiba Mamoru

---

The Estate of Clow Reed:

Otherwise known (according to Kodachi) as the Black Moon

Compact. Basically a bunch of extremely powerful, mentally

imbalanced individuals gathered together under a single goal:

to fulfill the final will and testament of Ba Pao Crowley. Their

enemies: the Senshi, Heaven, the organization commonly

known as the Unseelie Court, the WPO, the FBI, snobby

magical wankers from England, Death Eaters, Hell, and evil

evil genki kawaii girls . . .

Hiiragizawa Tatewaki, Akizuki Kodachi (aka Black Moon), Gan

Sasuke (aka Gan-chan, Eclipse), Kaho Hina, Lupin III (and his

gang), Metallium Xelloss, John Constantine

Lupin III:

Self-taught Happosai copycat, commonly known to be the

greatest thief in the world. Possesses no magic whatsoever,

but he tends to manage. Serving the Estate out of respect for

his "Master."

John Constantine (aka Bastard, Con Job, Idiot, etc . . .):

He's the Constantine we know and love minus some of the DC

World influences. He's experienced all of the stuff that's purely

Vertigo, and very little else. Roped into becoming part of the

Estate by his "good friend" Metallium Xelloss. Never left what

some refer to as "Muggledom."

---

The magical society surrounding Hogwarts:

What John Constantine refers to as "a bunch of bloody magical

wankers." A Euro-centric magical community with contacts in

various parts of America. Has little or no communication with

mages in Asia, and tends to despise mages refusing to remove

themselves from the common folk (Muggles). Individuals such

as Constantine, Tim Hunter, and Metallium Xelloss are viewed

as dangerous criminals . . .

Albus Drumbledore:

Prestigious and well-known scholar, current head of the

Hogwarts Institution. While appearing to be extremely

conservative, he has some strange ideas about how liberal

things can be . . . Saved Ba Pao Crowley from criminal

sentence.

T.M. Riddle (aka Lord Voldemort):

Powerful black mage. Believes himself to be the true heir of

Salazar Slytherin, and destined to rid the world of Muggle

good number of years before disappearing after a loss at the

hands of Harry Potter. Founder of the Death Eaters (mistakenly

known to some as the Death Busters).

Remus Lupin:

Distant cousin to Lupin III. Got all of the recessive genes,

including magic. Has bad personal hygiene, and happens to be

a werewolf. Often compared to John Constantine, and

despised.

??? (referred to as Azrael):

Strange individual in dark robes, newly admitted to Azkaban on

charges known only to the highest members of the Ministry of

Magic.

Harry Potter:

Accepted by Tatewaki as Slytherin's heir. Tatewaki's sworn

enemy. Otherwise, still the same wuss-boy a lot of kids know

and love.

Hermione Granger:

The original Hermione, except that she was briefly infatuated

with Tatewaki during first year. Kinda forgot about him after he

left . . .

Salazar Slytherin:

The ancient fascist, the projection of whom made a pact with

Ba Pao Crowley. His heir has recently been located . . .

Esmerelda Weatherwax (aka Mistress Weatherwax, Granny):

The new Head Housekeeper, a tall stern-looking woman,

apparently of high-born blood. Rumored by the staff and

higher-level students to be a powerful witch. History unknown.

Jonathan Rincewind:

Mysteriously materialized during a board meeting at the

Ministry of Magic. Initially believed to be a Norwegian spy, but

this thought was dismissed after inspectors found no trace of

any sort of teleportation spell at or near the site of appearance.

Currently suspected to be an off-world entity disguised as a

human. After release, he landed a job at Hogwarts as a

Defense Against Dark Arts teacher, despite not having a

degree in the subject. Runs unnaturally fast, and possesses

unnatural cowardice. His defense tactics are also unnaturally

effective.

Susan de Quirm:

A "transfer" student at Hogwarts, which is practically unheard

of. Even stranger, previous to transfer, she was allegedly

educated by a "private tutor." Her history is unknown, and her

face is . . . beautiful, but ridiculously difficult to remember.

Hermione's new roommate.

McGonagall, Sirius Black, Ron Weasley, James Potter, Lily

Potter, Neville Longbottom, etc.

Not much is known about these individuals.

Original teaser (now rather innaccurate), posted to the FFML on May 18th,

2000.

***

(It's two in the morning. I'm feeling kinda strange . . .)

***

Nanashimanga presents . . .

***

"I really, really hate this curse."

"Why?"

"It gives you an excuse to make me your dress-up doll."

Two short figures on a rooftop at three in the morning.

It'd be assumed that they were burglars had either of

them been older than eleven (not to mention the fact that

burglars don't usually dress up in magic-girl costumes).

"C'mon, admit it. It's a nice costume, at least."

***

A never-to-be-continued production . . .

***

The speaker, a relatively young-looking girl with a

page-boy haircut and perfectly normal clothes, appeared

to reconsider her words upon speaking them.

"Cost a pretty penny, too," she continued. "I'd been

hoping that you'd be happier."

The other girl scowled, but remained silent.

"Besides, you look *sooo* cute!"

The speaker smiled a smile so devastatingly innocent

that the other girl relented in her silent protest.

"Okay, okay, I get the point," said the girl in the costume.

"Just one question, though."

"Yeah?"

"Why a magic-girl costume?"

"'Cause it's cute."

Blanch.

***

Card Captor Sakura . . .

***

"Uhh . . . okay. Forget I even asked."

"This tape'll fetch a good price too, you know?"

"Tape?"

The girl in the costume spun around and studied the

other girl, closely for the first time. V8. In the right hand.

Uh-oh.

"You . . . you're not selling that tape, are you?"

"Of course not."

The costumed girl relaxed a bit.

"I'm selling copies." The girl smiled again.

The costumed girl resisted the sudden urge to smack the

other girl with her wand. Violence wasn't going to get

her anywhere in a situation like this.

'Help, P-chan,' thought the costumed girl to herself. 'I

know you're a pig-headed asshole who gets lost too

much, but you're a pretty nice guy when it gets down to

it. Better than Miss I-wanna-make-money here. Help

me!'

She sighed yet again. Idle wishes. The pig was probably

off somewhere screaming, 'Where the heck am I now?!

This is all your fault, Kinomoto!!'

Angst . . .

"Oi, you've seen the dumb flying pig?"

***

Impossibility . . .

"He's probably lost. Good thing I didn't get him to carry

my stuff. This V8 cost a lot."

***

Comedy . . .

Just like him to get lost. The costumed girl turned her

mind to other matters.

"Hmph . . . which one are we doing tonight?"

"This one's from the Pestilence suite. The card name is

'The Scales.'"

"Any more info?"

"My sources say that this one manifests its powers in

physical attack. I believe that it has the ability to change

the magnitude of gravitational pull within a given area."

Highly complex technical descriptions . . .

"So like, I get heavier and get crushed under my own

weight?"

"That about sums it up."

And cake . . .

"Cool. How many cards am I away from lifting the curse

again?"

"Pero-chan said that you have twenty-five. It's gonna be

twenty-six if Li-kun gets this one."

"Stupid Mousse."

The girl with the V8 giggled a bit.

"You, do know, right?"

"What?"

"He has the hots for you, 'Sakura-chan.'"

Eyes widened, and the trademarked 'hoee' was uttered.

In a drama that will blow you off your feet . . .

"Don't mention that again," said the costumed girl when

she recovered.

"Don't mention what?"

"What you just said."

"Ahh."

"Right."

"The curse isn't gonna be fully lifted, you know. Just

gonna unlock it."

"I despise you."

"Taking lessons from Kuno?"

"That liar? No way!"

A fanfic fusion . . .

A boom resounded in the parking lot below.

"We've got company."

"Right. Open seal -- Jump!"

She landed in the lot, immediately before a cloaked

figure with a pair of scales.

"Hello, Mr. Card. Kinomoto Ranma at your service!"
