Also, you have to concider that realisticaly if option 4 were out, option 1 or 2 would
be more likely than 3. Ranma is human, so wether we like it or not, he would
learn to addapt in such a way as to have companionship. He might try to
lock himself away at first, but that would quickly lead to problems, especialy
since with all the fiancees arround, he has never been truely alone, even
when he was on the road.

Option one is not much more "in character" than option 2 and a male
author is going to have trouble writing any kind of believable lesbian partner
for Ranma. Option four was done in the series and there isn't much more to
add to it.
