It has been noted that there is an increasing trend towards
the number of posts or replies to posts which should be
private, but for some reason or other are made public.
Whether these posts are actual public responses to private
messages, or they disregard the original request for private
preplies or even something else, it quite clearly states in the
FAQ that they should not be posted to the FFML. If this trend
continues, greater measures will be taken upon those committing
such infractions.
Also, as a side note, while it may ease your conscience, posting
a public apology for such an action creates just as much spam and
serves no purpose to the list at large. Apologise in private, to
whomever you deem necessary, but the literally thousands of
list subscribers do not need to see it-- if this keeps up, there may
be yet another inclusion into the FAQ of what may or may not be posted.
