Well, after finally posting OMSW, I was reading the posted story when I

noticed something bad had happened.  Some of the sentences in the story

had upped a disappeared.  It only occured in those parts where I have

several <...> sentences marked off.

After cross-checking the story I have on disk with the one in my mailbox,

I have come to the conclusion that AOL must not like very much.  Why, I

have no idea; however, I can't do much about the story now aside from

re-posting it ala .txt.

Adrian D. Rainman (who isn't very happy with AOL at the moment)

For what it's worth, Adrian, several of my friends who

are cursed to use AOL (Spring of the Drowned AOL user, anyone?)

have described this effect. Apparently some of the AOL software

gets confused on occasion and treats <  > type brackets as HTML

commands, trying to interpret them as such. Which plays merry

hell with your fic.

MetroAnime's had this problem with several of his stories

on the fanfiction.net machine as well. The only thing I can

suggest at the moment is that you substitute square brackets

"[ and ]" or curled ones "{}" for the angle brackets.

I suggest this for all AOL users, and anyone who is

going to post their fics on a server that turns text files into

HTML pages automatically. (Which is what fanfiction.net does)

       Hope you find this useful.
