    ===================================================

Last Episodes: Most of the backstory has been explained.  Saki defeated
Angel is a non-VG match and went on to challenge RG, only to get trashed by
the new Endless.  Miranda is about to get what she wants.  Reimi and Chiho
had a conversation.  The readers were sorely disappointed when Elena did NOT
burst in on Yuki and Ayako doing it.  And finally, Jun and Yuka slept in the
same room AT THE SAME TIME!

"She doesn't want to be found,"

The assembled group of fighters was not pleased.

"Of course, she doesn't want to be found.  That's why we're looking for
her," Manami growled.

    RG shook his head.

"You don't understand.  Miranda is the former leader of the Jahana Group.
And the Jahana Group managed to get extensive information on all of you.
And Saki, Miranda's apparent right hand enforcer, could provide her with
information on me.  Miranda knows what we'll look for and has made her
hideout as inconspicious as possible.  Regardless of what you may believe,
until or unless she wants us to find her, Miranda can remain hidden in this
city right under our noses and we won't suspect a thing.  So, until she
comes out of hiding, you should all go back to your normal day activities,"
RG explained.

"What about you and that Angel girl?" Reimi inquired.

"I'll continue searching until Angel recovers.  She engaged in a fight with
Saki and lost, eliminating her from the tournament.  Once she has recovered,
we both will continue looking for Miranda's hideout.  Before now, I would've
expected Miranda to try and strike quickly, when we were barely organized,
but it would seem that she's decided to back off for a while," RG answered.

"GREAT!  Kaori!  I challenge you!" Elena blurted out.

    Kaori blinked.

"If you wish to fight, I accept," Kaori responded.

"Wait, he just dismisses us like we were a flock of sea gulls and you're
raring for a fight?" Jun demanded.

"What, you like wasting hours upon hours of free times trying hunt down a
maniac?  Look, it's not like I'm telling you to just forget about this ever
happening.  Miranda isn't going to give up, though, make no mistake about
that," RG answered.

With that, a pinkish energy field enveloped RG and he began to look like a
picture on a TV with bad reception, "I'll contact you if we find her before
she's ready,"

If anyone was surprised that he vanished, they sure didn't make it
noticeable to any onlookers.

"That reminds me, I've got to pick up some new panties," Reimi thought
aloud.

Staring at Reimi, the gathered group blinked, then took a step back.

If there was a list of things Elena had been looking forward to, one
written at the top of the list would be, "A good fight".  Luck was obviously
with her as it wasn't difficult to find a VG-approved ring.

Kaori was the only person that had matched Reimi, the ex-champion of the VG
tournament.  Obviously, Kaori hadn't been sitting on her can, so defeating
her would be a nice sign that Elena's personal training wasn't for nothing.

"HEY!  Come on, I've got a sister to beat on!" Azumi growled.

"Then find another ring," Elena snapped.

"This happens to be the only one in three blocks and we both know we can't
be civil to each other on the walk there," Yuki explained calmly.

    "Begin!" Reimi declared.

Elena snapped her focus back to Kaori and jumped backwards as the
kick-boxer leapt forward, lashing out with two rapid kicks.  Elena replied
by thrusting her fists forward and projecting a stream of flame.  Kaori was
knocked back by the sudden attack and quickly swatted the flames out.  She
leapt at Elena, striking the blonde across the face with a strong kick.
Elena, however, spun with the strike and get Kaori in the back with a round
kick.

Kaori rolled forward, rebounding off the ring's corner post and punching
Elena with a powerful haymaker.  It wasn't stylish, but centuries of bar
brawls had shown it quite effective for it's purpose.  Elena staggered,
feeling her cheek to see if the skin had been broken, before lunging and
striking Kaori with a number of incredibly fast punches.  Kaori recoiled,
then broke the attack by kicking Elena in the stomach, forcing the bunny
girl backwards.

Kaori didn't stop with just a counter-attack, she pressed the break and
placed her right foot on Elena's bent right knee and struck Elena with a
powerful roundhouse kick.  Both girls hit the mat, but Elena's landing was
more painful.  With a huff, both returned to their feet, though Elena was
staggering a bit more.  Flaring with anger, she unleashed six energy balls
at Kaori and concentrated them around her so she couldn't run.  Focusing her
power, Elena launched hundreds of tiny bursts of power at Kaori, striking
the kickboxer from numerous directions.

Realizing that Elena would win at this rate, Kaori tried a counter-attack,
lashing out with a slightly sloppy sidekick, sending a bluish ball of energy
at Elena, forcing the blonde to dodge and breaking her concentration on the
devastating assault.  As the spheres faded, Kaori charged Elena, hoping that
she could win.  Elena met the charging warrior by grabbing her shirt
quickly, pulling backwards while falling backwards and kicking the
long-haired VG veteran into the far corner post, where she collapsed.

Elena waited on the ground, panting for a good half minute for getting up
and looking at Kaori.  The toss had left the other VG fighter dazed.

"I think that settles your fight," Yuki commented, hopping into the ring.

Elena nodded, noticing she was incredibly sweaty.  It hadn't been a long
fight, but it had been an intense and draining one.  She slid out of the
ring as Reimi and Jun helped Kaori out.  Yuki watched Elena exit, thoughts
ranging from ecchi to respectful.

"Big sister, stop ogling and fight," Azumi declared coolly.

Yuki stared at her little sister, feeling unnaturally irritated.  There was
something about Azumi that made her angry and Yuki already knew what it was.

"Azumi, I don't know why you're even bothering to create a new form for our
family.  It will never defeat my technique," Yuki told her.

"Why, Yuki, you're actually upset about my Nezumi-Ken.  I'll show you that
wolves aren't the most powerful creature for a reason," Azumi growled.

Azumi grabbed the latex jacket she wore and flung it off dramatically,
revealing her to be in a light gray bikini with light gray thigh-high boots,
long thin light grey gloves and an exaggerated pair of light gray mouse
ears.

Yuki stared at the sight for three seconds, her left eye twitching
dangerously.  Finally, she closed her eyes and clenched a fist.

"You.... dare..... even... _THINK_ you'll defeat me by wearing that
ridiculous outfit?!  Or using yout stupid techniques?!?  It's time you got a
few lessons in life, Azumi.  It's not all fun and games, made-up techniques
are useless, and I'm nothing like those cheap fighters you hired to test
yourself again," Yuki growled, her aura flaring.

Azumi struck the ground with her fist, "NEZUMI STRIKE!"

As energy streamed out of Azumi's fist and crawled along the ground towards
Yuki, the eldest sister of the Asamiya clan opened her eyes and leapt at
Azumi.

"No fai-" Azumi began, lifting her arms to block.

Azumi was sent reeling by Yuki's jump-kick.  She staggered back against the
corner post.

"Recess is over, Azumi.  It's time to learn life the hard way," Yuki
snarled, a blood-red aura surrounding her.

As Yuki began building her Blood Wolf Howl, Azumi suddenly cried out in
terror.

"You look like she did..," Azumi whimpered, cowering against the corner
post, tears rolling down her face.

"What?" Yuki asked, her anger fleeing.

Miranda was suddenly in front of the older girl, who cried out in surprise,
staggering backwards.  Looking down, she saw a younger version of herself
and Azumi.  Azumi was hiding behind the younger Yuki as Miranda approached.
Roaring in grief and anger, Yuki leapt at Miranda, only to be snatched out
of the air by the very blood-coated hand that Miranda had used to kill
Mariko Asamiya.  Miranda looked into the young girl's eyes, before lowering
her hand down to Yuki's arm.  Yuki, fueled by anger, lashed out with a fist,
only to have it caught as well.  Miranda pulled the young girl close until
her lips weren't very far from young Yuki's left ear.

"You and I are not very different, are we?  You would have made a far
better daughter than my own child," Miranda whispered.

Younger Yuki and Azumi vanished, as did Miranda.  Yuki snarled, rage barely
contained.

"We are nothing alike, Azumi.  I am not the monster Miranda was.  I AM NOT!
I CAN'T BE!  I WON'T BE!  BLOOD WOLF HOWL!" Yuki bellowed, unleashing a
ball of hellish red energy at Azumi.

The blast struck a barrier and exploded, engulfing the entire corner of the
ring and quite a bit of the street behind the post in a hellish blaze.  The
flame dissapated suddenly and a red rose-esque barrier came into view.  The
barrier faded to show Azumi unconscious and Reimi on one knee, sweat forming
on her face.

Glaring up at the shocked Yuki, Reimi managed to harshly spit out, "You
aren't a monster like my mother, but you're very close,"

Yuki's eyes closed.  Reimi raised a hand, ready to block as best as she
could, but if Yuki were to unleash another attack like she did last time,
Reimi was uncertain if she could block it as she had the last.  However,
relief flooded over her mind as Yuki's shoulders sagged.

"I guess I am," Yuki answered, her eyes opening, but focusing past Reimi to
the slagged glass and burnt cement on the building that the Blood Wolf Howl
had struck.

Yuki walked to the edge of the ring and slid out, walking away from the
group.

    "Yuki-" Ayako began.

Satomi's raised hand stopped the dancer.

"She needs time alone," Satomi declared.

"Satomi, why shouldn't I go?" Ayako demanded.

"She was just told that she is becoming like the woman she despises.  She
has to redefine where Miranda ends and she begins.  Hatred, like love, binds
humans together and tears individuals apart," Satomi answered.

Ayako looked after Yuki's retreating form and sighed deeply.

"Come back to me," Ayako whispered.

"Hey, where's Elena?" Jun asked abruptly.

"She probably went back to her resturaunt.  It has been a few days and she
might need to do something." Manami suggested.

    Jun frowned.

Miranda looked at the monitor and laughed.  Yuki's breakdown was most
amusing to watch.  And listening to her abandon love was worth a hearty
chuckle.  She glanced back at Saki's body healing in an advanced
regeneration chamber, then flicked her attention back to Yuki.

"Two more pawns.  I wonder how delicious it will be to fight her after all
these years.  She will be so amusing, don't you think, Saki?" Miranda asked.

Saki's eyes opened and a cruel smile formed on her lips.

"I wonder how they will react to my new pets," Miranda wondered aloud.

Saki frowned as she glanced towards the monitor in the 'playpen'.  If she
didn't know better, it might have been a scene straight out of "Hardcore
Lezbo Action 8" by Long Richard Johnson, which happened to be what Miranda
was watching on yet another monitor.

    Saki's gaze returned to Miranda.

"Don't worry pet.  I want them to linger a bit.  See their suffering before
I dominate them is always sweet.  Like when I picked you up.  It was amazing
that you landed in that clearing, otherwise, you might be dead and I'd be
without another servant," Miranda mused.

    Saki's eyes narrowed.

"Yes, that Endless boy, RG.  Don't worry.  Once I captured Tamao, I'll let
you kill him too," Miranda responded.

Saki's smile was that of pure joy.

Yuka sighed as she, Manami and Jun returned to Jun's apartment.  Manami had
insisted on coming, but had promised Jun to leave the instant it was eight
PM.  But, that wasn't what was bothering Yuka.

    "What's wrong, Yuka?" Jun asked.

"I'm just thinking about Yuki.  That must have been a horrible vision that
she saw," Yuka replied.

"Well, it's a little hard to forget something like a bitch like Miranda
killing your mom and pretty much getting away with it," Jun responded.

"Yeah, if Miranda hadn't been the CEO of Jahana, I don't think she would've
gotten off so easily," Manami noted.

"No kidding.  But, being such a powerful conglomerate, it's not surprising.
I heard that they run about forty percent of all tournaments worldwide.
If even rumored that they're just as powerful as Disney," Jun added.

Yuka sat on the couch, wondering what the vision Yuki had seen was.  Yuka
could only guess that it had something to do with what Azumi said.  Jun sat
next to her, touching her shoulder.  Yuka looked up.

"You okay?  You look really bothered," Jun inquired.

".... I'm not sure.  That look of absolutely terror on Yuki's face..," Yuka
began.

"Hey, she's dealing with it.  You have to concentrate on relaxing.  Have a
little fun.  It won't hurt, I promise," Jun teased.

Yuka closed her briefly and took a deep breath.  Jun was right.  There was
no real point of wondering about what Yuki had seen, was feeling or was
thinking.  She couldn't know unless she fought Yuki and while that event
felt like it was destined to be, it was still a ways off.

"Okay, Jun, I'll have fun," Yuka responded.

Just then, both of the older girls noticed what Manami was looking at.  The
teen idol was looking over a number of boxes that were hidden from view.

"What do you have there, Manami?" Yuka inquired as Jun started to get a
sinking feeling.

"Looky, looky!  'Hardcore Lezbo Action 8' by Long Richard Johnson!  I love
that one!" Manami exclaimed.

"MANAMI!" Yuka and Jun shouted simultaneously.

Reimi relaxed as hands rubbed her back sensually.  She moaned with pleasure
as the hands touched and teased just the right muscles and purred as the
hands stroked near the small of her back.

"So, do you want me to use the double-ended or the spiked one this time,
mistress?"

"Ladies, I'll be your giggolo tonight."

    "This is the life."

Uh, we'll check back on that later.  There may be impressionable children
and overly horny teenagers reading this.

    (Editor's note: DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMN!)

Kaori and Satomi exchanged glances.  It SEEMED like Ayako was sleeping
innocently between them as the two other VG warriors watched TV, but her
'drifting' hands were making them uncomfortable.  Kaori was wishing she was
back at the Mo Hin Kan, doing routine work.

Satomi couldn't help but think of things that would not only classify her
as a pervert, but also might get her arrested in six countries for wearing
the entirely wrong outfit while performing S&M orgies with various members
of the VG tournament.  But, she couldn't be blamed.  After all, until
recently, when she accidentally looked in a book concerning the subject, she
thought S&M meant Sweden & Mariachi Bands.  Or Sugar & Manicotti.  Maybe
Swiss Cheese & Mackerel.

Luckily for both, the Trigun Marathon was distracting enough that neither
noticed that they both bonked Ayako on the head, stopping the pinching and
groping for a while.

RG stood on the roof of his apartment building, gazing out at the city,
searching the city for a certain energy signature.  It was little surprise
to him the very energy he was searching for appeared behind him.  He had no
doubt been close to uncovering her location and thus, was probably going to
be threatened, tested or attacked.  Perhaps all three.  Miranda was the sort
of person who loved anything violent or devious, especially when it caused
emotional torment or mental anguish and RG knew he was well on his way to
disrupting everything she was planning.

"Miranda, face to face for the third time.  I'd like to say that I've
ecstatic to meet you, but I'm not," RG said, spinning around abruptly and
hopping to the left to dodge Miranda's opening blast.

    "Fool," Miranda uttered.

"I'm tired of you being so smug.  Even back then, you were nothing more
than an overpowered bully," RG continued, standing perfectly still as
Miranda fired a few more blasts.

As Miranda's attacks slipped around RG, he grinned viciously, "I'd love to
send you to the next world for the third time, but that's not my place.
Heck, if it weren't for the Goddess wanting you to remain in the tournament,
I would have deleted you, Saki and your new puppets from the roster, then
finished you all off once and for all,"

Miranda huffed in frustration, raising her hand again.

"But she doesn't want me to.  So, I'm here with a proposal," RG finished.

    Miranda lowered her hand.

"If you agree to the terms set by Tamao and win the VG tournament, I will
not interfere in the fight or the results," RG explained.

"I'll listen," Miranda answered, a wicked smile forming on her face.

"Defeat the rest of the VG warriors within one week," RG decreed.

Miranda waited for half a minute for anything further.

"That's it?  No handicap?  No embarrassing outfit?  Not even another
demand?" Miranda inquired.

"The Goddess is growing restless in her desire to fight.  The fact that
she's willing to fight you should be an obvious sign," RG responded.

"...," Miranda glowered, but briefly.  The idea of the Goddess willingly
coming to her was quite appealing, compared to trying to lure her out and
capture her.

"Believe me, Miranda, this is from the Goddess herself.  If I had a choice,
I would postpone this until you were dealt with.  It's her belief that the
one she wants to face will rise to the challenge," RG answered.

"Interesting.  I'll give them all a good fight, so don't worry, dear boy,"
Miranda responded.

"Oh, and Miranda?  The Goddess has allowed me to give you a few things," RG
began.

Miranda blinked and found RG right in front of her.  Slamming a fist into
her face, he sent her rocketing backwards to slam into the side of a distant
building.

"That's for killing Mariko Asamiya, the best person I ever met," RG
declared.

Miranda opened her eyes to see RG again.  He booted her into the air as if
she were a volleyball.  She felt the oxygen in her lungs forced out
painfully.

"That's for trying to kidnap the Goddess," RG growled.

Miranda struggled to stop herself and regain her breath, barely managing to
slow herself after a few seconds.  RG couldn't possibly be as powerful as he
was.  None of his power was visible on any of her data-collection sensors.
Then, she felt his presence nearby.  She found him glowering over her.

"And this one," RG sneered, raising his arms above his hands and
interlocking his fingers, "is from the Goddess.  She really liked Mariko.
Oh, and don't forget to be ready, Miranda.  You only have one week.
NYAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Miranda couldn't dodge as his attack sent her crashing into a forest.
Consciousness fled her like a rat would a sinking ship.  However, she did
note that his laugh was not only excessively annoying, but it sounded almost
as evil as her own laugh, but not quite.

Azumi sat on the luxury recliner in her library that she had been in for
the past few days.  However, she wore a red bathrobe and there were no
glasses of candy.  The lights were off and the fireplace was unlit.  The
only thing that was emitting light was a TV and VCR showing Mariko "Typhoon"
Asamiya's fights, loyally recorded by adoring fans.  Azumi sat, trembling as
memories returned to her.  Miranda's glowing eyes set shivers up her spine.
Yuki's eyes resembled those eyes so well.  The explosion of anger from both
Yuki and Miranda, which resulted in over half of the buildings in Shinjuku
being heavily damaged or destroyed.

Yuki remembered their mother so much better than Azumi did because Yuki had
taken most of the pictures and video records of their mother's fights with
her when she had left.  All Azumi could remember of their mother was a kind
smile, a loving hug and strong arms.  Azumi had never really seen their
mother fight before seeing the video she was currently viewing, but she knew
Yuki's style was heavily based on their mother's techniques.

Yuki was so powerful, though.  Azumi's techniques might have worked on an
unsuspecting newbie, but Yuki knew Azumi inside and out.  Her style was
pathetic next to the hardcore training Yuki had undergone in order to get
their mother's style down.

"WOLF'S TYPHOON!" came from the TV, drawing Azumi's attention.

Mariko unleashed a devastating series of attacks on her opponent faster
than even Azumi's trained eyes could follow.  To find a more devastating
series of attacks would be nigh-impossible without bending the laws of
reality.  The problem was the finish.  The last three moves were sloppy, but
the rest were pure gold.  Mariko skidded away from her opponent, who
collapsed to the ground.

    "Mother's strongest technique..," Azumi murmured.

    "Azumi...," came an abrupt call.

Azumi looked up.  Yuki stood no more than a few feet away.

"Little sister, we never finished our fight," Yuki hissed.

Azumi stumbled backwards out of the chair.  She was in no shape to face her
older sister.

"Come on, you wanted this fight..," Yuki giggled, shambling forward.

Azumi's fear vanished like plausibility in the movie Armageddon.

"Yuki has never giggled..," Azumi whispered.

"Sure I do, you just never heard me do it," "Yuki" responded.

"HA!  You're a fake!  Yuki would never make such a lame response!" Azumi
cried, flinging off her robe to reveal her singed fighting outfit.

Azumi charged, flaring with white energy.  "Yuki" summoned a ball of
purplish energy and was about to fling it at Azumi when Azumi vanished.
"Yuki" blinked in confusion.  A series of punches and kicks to her back sent
"Yuki" forward to slam into the chair awkwardly.  Azumi smirked confidently.

"Your energy is even the wrong color.  Yuki's is and always has been RED!"
Azumi cried, leaping forward.

She landed hand-first at "Yuki"'s feet, then performed a springing double
kick to "Yuki"'s chin, sending the intruder backwards over the arm of the
chair to crash to the ground painfully.  Azumi stood on the chair
triumphantly as "Yuki" got back up and stumbled backwards.

"Why are you so strong?!  The original Yuki defeated you with ease
earlier!" "Yuki" snarled in frustration.

"You aren't my sister.  You don't know my techniques, you don't my fighting
style and you don't know me!" Azumi sneered, before hopping off the chair,
her aura glowing bright white as slammed her fist into ground.

    "NEZUMI STRIKE!" Azumi cried.

"Yuki" was sent flying against the far wall, cratering it severely.  She
slumped forward and to the ground, unconscious.

"Mistress Azumi!" the butler cried in surprise.

"Call an ambulance and the police.  Someone just broke international law,"
Azumi told her semi-faithful manservant.

He didn't question her.  He ran to the phone.

Does it have to do with the mysterious fake Yuki?
