The evidence is rather limited, however it is known that when the dummy
system is first brought up Maya knows about it from implications, and
comments about how she doesn't feel right about it. And of course, the Rei
clones are the heart of the dummy system.

Subject: [FFML] Spam? Info needed on Maya Ibuki.
I am a big fan of Maya Ibuki from Neon Genesis Evangellion (Shin
Seiki Evangellion to everyone in Japan). Dare say, the biggest. As some
of you know, I have tried to write a couple of fics on her and hope to
do more. however, I came across a web site that said, to quote, 'In this
episode (23) we discovered that Seele doesnt know that Rei is actually a
clone and only Gendou, Fuyutsuki, Ritsuko and Maya knows about it.' For
those interested, this is from

all the episodes, seen the movies, read the manga, and I cannot recall
anything that even suggests this. Were I in a position where I had to
decide between Maya knowing about Rei and Maya being a lesbian, then I'd
take the latter since there is (slightly, very slightly) more evidence.
Does anyone know if this is ever brought up and where? Please reply
privately, and please be as specific and detailed as you can. Thanks a
