the 1940 issue of ALL-AMERICAN COMICS.
ALL-AMERICAN COMICS (AA) was
published by Jack Liebowitz and M.C. Gaines
when the publishers of DC Comics refused to
add another title to their lineup. AA was independent
of DC, but the distribution system was the same
and they promoted each other's titles.
(Note: Green Lantern #16 provided the inspiration
for this
story. However only the colour green remains.)

of celibacy is relatively recent. The original
prohibition was against marriage, not sex.

and they did want property (which would
have been left to families if they allowed
marriage)
Additionally, in this case, her grand-father was
far from home with no chance of ever returning.

associated with so there is no way to know
what his "vows" were. OR what additional

the "daemon" destroyed their home.
