Okay, so I've been absent for awhile. First of all, my right eye
was a riot of pain for sometime, so much so that the Doc had
to bandage it up. Another was the fact that I helped my cousin
during her PMA physical exam, PMA being the West Point of
the Philippines. Great. Another military member of the Family. ^_^
Well, anyway, here are the nominations for FFML's Author
Encyclopedia 2000 edition.
As always, additions are welcome. And those nominated please
send the missing fields of their entries.

I Can See Clearly Now
Nominator name: Elsa Bibat
Nominator email: aerolbj@i-next.net
Justification:
Though simple in execution, the simpliciy of it gives it an elegance I like.
Plus the concept is a original. Well, I think it's original. Simple and a
good concept and the fact that there's a touch to it that makes it
incredibly good to read, plus it sticks in my mind. For this Mark Davis is
nominated for creating a great piece of fanfiction.

Genma's Daughter
Nominator name: Elsa Bibat
Nominator email: aerolbj@i-next.net
Justification:
Though controversial, no one can deny that Genma's Daughter is an incredible
piece of fiction. Smooth prose, excellent characterizations, the work deserves
the label of classic. Highly recommended.

The Ronin Summer series
Nominator name: Elsa Bibat
Nominator email: aerolbj@i-next.net
Justification:
The man is gifted! Ronin Summer is an incredible work that reminds
me of the pulps, in both speed of delivery and the action-packed
scenes. An original concept and an incredible execution makes him
truly one for the books.

Author Signature Work (what he/she is most known for):
Never Forgotten
Nominator name: Elsa Bibat
Nominator email: aerolbj@i-next.net
Justification:
One of the few Vision of Escaflowne fics out there, and probably one
of the best ever. Kus Kus manages to weave up one of the loose ends
of the series and, even though it isn't finished yet, Kus Kus's writing
promises to deliver an incredibly well-crafted story.

A Terrible Swift Sword
Nominator name: Elsa Bibat
Nominator email: aerolbj@i-next.net
Justification:
David Pascal does not write fanfiction. He writes literature. ^_^
A Terrible Swift Sword is an achievement of fanfiction. It is a classic
and should probably be held up as a benchmark for most fanfics. I
pity anyone who's going to do an SMJ fic, since he/she has to go
up against this baby. ^_^
In execution and concept, the fics is a great piece of work, even though
it should be probably called a semi-original fic, since none of the SMJ
characters actually appears.
But still, it is probably, IMHO,one of the greatest fics of all time.

Pokemon Master
Nominator name: Elsa Bibat
Nominator email: aerolbj@i-next.net
Justification:
Pokemon Master. The title of the work is probably one of the most
misleading ones in the history of fanfiction. Instead of the visions of
cuteness that one expects, the reader gets bombarded by a hard
and gritty world where people and pokemon die.
The word "die" alone makes this fic a must read. ^_^
Excellent prose and execution make this rather mediocre sounding
concept on par with some of the greatest commercial fantasy novels
in the market now.
A classic and the author deserves to be in the books.

The Bet: Another Approach
Nominator name: Elsa Bibat
Nominator email: aerolbj@i-next.net
Justification:
Ranma is a bit of a dead horse nowadays but still gems like
this show up. A branch of The Bet, it is surprisingly well written
unlike some of the other branches of the work. Original in
concept and great prose make this a classic.
Author Name: Shunsuke

Naga and the Serpent
Nominator name: Elsa Bibat
Nominator email: aerolbj@i-next.net
Justification:
The man did not write a fanfic. The man wrote a verse epic.
That makes it literature in some people's books.
For effort alone, if not for the great lyrical verse, the man deserves
an entry in the book.

HERZ
Nominator name: Elsa Bibat
Nominator email: aerolbj@i-next.net
Justification:
HERZ is probably, undoubtably, one of the greatest EVA fics
ever written. A reasonably well-written elseworld of the series,
it takes old elements, mixes them in with the new and creating
an incredible whole. The prose is a bit minimalist, but it's just
right for the fic.
An incredible achievement should be awarded appropriately and
be set up as an example of how a fic should be done.

Synthesis
Nominator name: Elsa Bibat
Nominator email: aerolbj@i-next.net
Justification:
It's a Lain fic! It's a Matrix fic! It is probably the first ever reasonable
Matrix crossover in the history of anime fanfiction. ^_^
Good execution and a great concept. Need I say more?
