Shinji knelt on the ground behind the club, his stomach heaving. It was
amazing, he thought, that so much could come out of an empty stomach. He'd
only felt sick after seeing the brain tissue when the >skulls had erupted
as the bullet spread on impact.
WH: Great! The buffet! That spinich keish looks great!
Sal: That's his head, you moron!
WH:
*BARF*
And now here he was, vomiting like a geyser.
WH: And here we have Shinji doing his Old Faithful impression. :)
Slowly, shakily, he stood, wiping his mouth with the back of his sleeve.
All he had to do was take off the rubber gloves and the >clothes, change
into the set in the bag, and trigger the flare. That >would destroy the
evidence.
Sal: (Thinks about Shinji changing clothes and starts to nosebleed.)
WH: Isn't he a bit younger than you? And a different species at that!
Sal: (Holding a napikin in her nose) Don't start.
Just as he finished changing, there was the sound of slow clapping from
behind him.
WH: Ah, they want an encore.
"Well done, Shinji."
Shinji froze.
"Doctor Akagi spotted your hack. I noted the event, and guessed what you
were going to do. I came because I was worried you were going to kill
yourself afterwards."
"F-father?"
WH: (Plays
*shock* measure)
"I was also going to give you a quick getaway."
"You knew what I was going to do?"
WH: Um... call Ghostbusters?
"You were going to kill the two boys who killed your... friend. I realised
that much. I had a few people watch you more than normal, >and follow you."
WH: (in black and white with a bass fiddle) ~Every move you make, every step
you take, I'll be watching you.~
Sal: Not only was that uncalled for, it was bad!
WH: Thank you.
"You did...?"
"Yes. And I saw what happened in there on the security cameras in the club.
Truly ingenious, Shinji. Now trigger that flare and let us >go."
WH: (Gendo) To the buffet!
Sal: (Shinji) Uh, can we skip that, please?
"Security cameras... I suppose I'm going to go to prison?"
A ghost of a smile came to Gendou Ikari's face. "No. It is all stored on
computer here- and there is now a virus in their system. >Very good idea
to use caseless ammunition, too. Noone saw what >happened, and you are home
free, so to speak. A brief detour to my >apartment, and you can
shower-remove the powder stains."
"I didn't think of that."
"I did. Now come along. Someone will have found the bodies by now."
WH: Now, this has got to be the weirdest father/son bonding I've EVER seen.
Sal: Indeed.
They walked to the car, slowly. It was an unmarked, fairly nondescript blue
convertible.
"One more thing, Shinji."
"Father?"
WH: (Gendo) Let's hit the Kareoke bar to celebrate!
Sal: Wooo!
Gendou handed him a thick brown envelope. Seven hundred and fifty thousand
Yen. Youve just done me a great service, Shinji. Now mister >Hida will
think twice about getting Jet Alone back into service
WH:
*CHA-CHING*
Shinji, speechless, lay back and thought about that, riffling through the
money.
WH: We all wish we had that kinda money.
He could, to quote a certain brownhaired extortionist, see a business
potential here.
Hmmm.
WH: Once more,
*CHA-CHING*

-End-
All C&C welcome. I own very few of the characters, and if you don't know
who they are, then watch EVA and decide for yourself.
Author's Notes:
Well... It was this or a Pokemon story featuring Will Smith (Titled
'Getting Jiggly With It'). I Have more parts in the works, so keep an >eye
out. Thanks for reading!
WH: Getting Jiggly with it? Yuck! Bad mental image.
Sal: Anyway, despite the wrongs I've seen, two wrong will never, ever make a
right.
WH: Agreed, I'd rather leave it to the Big guy to do the whacking, but since
this is the world of EVA where, appearently, there is no God, Shinji can get
away with it. (By this I mean if there was a God in the EVA universe, he
wouldn't have let the second impace happen, but that's just me. :P)
Sal: It's really hard to tell if it's really justifiable to take the law
into your own hands, even moreso with something like this.
WH: Survey says: A good read for the vigilantee(sp) types. It would be good
if this continued. BTW: is the title related to the Frank Sinatra, 1950's
Rat Pack? Or was it the Emilio Esteves, Demi Moore, Michael Douglas, 1980's
Brat Pack? I get confused. X_X
