There is an old saying: "Never start anything you don't intend to finish."

There is another old saying: "The road to hell is paved with good intentions."

If we combine these two sayings, it is possible that one might get a new one:

"Your good intentions to finish everything you start will lead you on a road to

hell."

... or maybe that's just something Minako might come up with.

Anyway, the time, dear children, has come to close the book on a few of my

stories which have lain stagnant too long. If you enjoyed these stories, I'm

sincerely sorry ... but that's life. It ends.

Chris 1/2:

The author realized that, if he ever actually met any of these people, his

first instinct would be to grab an artillery piece and use it on them. Yes,

even Kasumi. This isn't going to be revived, continued, or anything else.

Bubblegum Chakram:

This story is a textbook example of why you should *never* write fanfiction

about a "living" series -- one which is still being told. The actual _Xena:

Warrior Princess_ TV series underwent a dramatic drop in quality (IMHO) not

long after I started writing this crossover, with some genuinely inane plot

developments and general bad writing.

I lost heart, especially after the X:WP version of Athena (who, to give the

writers their due, was actually fairly similar to the way that I wrote "my"

Athena) showed up as an antagonist for Our Heroes during the "Twilight of the

Greek Gods" storyline, which also pissed me off on all sorts of other levels.

What would have happened: Madigan, having acquired the metal of Hephaestus in

the final chapter, has it synthesized and manufactures a group of Fusion

Boomers from it. Meanwhile, in the XenaVerse, Ares decides to get rid of

Gabrielle while Xena isn't around and can't stop him, and lets Velasca

(remember her? nobody else does either) out of the lava flow to do the Bard in.

Just as Velasca confronts Priss and Gabrielle, and Xena and the three remaining

Knight Sabres go to take on Madigan's fusion boomers, the promised deadline for

the dimensional exchange approaches, paralyzing both Xena and Priss ...

But in the BGC-verse, the boomers don't seem to be functioning at all ... since

the metal of Hephaestus doesn't conduct electricity. Madigan freaks out at this

development (how do you think a report on spending a few billion yen to build

some indestructible statues would look on *your* end-of-the-month report?) and

swears a horrible vengeance on the magician who has brought her to this

horrible humiliation -- pointing at Nene, she names her "Sylia Stingray."

(Yeah, she thinks Sylia was Aethan's apprentice. Not too clever, our Kate.)

Back to the Xena-verse, where before Velasca can do anything more than make

some creative threats at Gabrielle, Athena takes her down (and Gabrielle

finally realizes why the goddess looks so familiar; she reminds her of Xena)

explaining that Ares didn't realize that she'd be watching him to see if he

tried something like this. Athena hints ... just hints, mind you ... that she

may be more closely related to Xena than half-aunt and -neice.

With some difficulty, the spell to get the two dimensionally exchanged

characters gets cast, and Xena is quickly drawn back to her proper reality by

the power of the bond between her and Gabrielle. Priss is a little harder,

since she doesn't see herself as having a serious bond to anyone back home ...

at least, not until (FORESHADOWING) Sylia quietly says, "Priss, I need you.

Come back here immediately."

(Sylia is Xena as Priss is to Gabrielle, you see.)

And that's where it ends, with everything set to rights and everyone a little

wiser and Nene having joined the Crystal Tokyo Society to get information that

she needed to reverse the spell. And the beat goes on.

Shin Seiki Evangelion: Scenario no Kawari

I already explained why I killed this one to a few people who deserved to know.

It *may* be continued by Pearson Mui, so I'm not going to say anything more

about it.

... everything else that I'm writing is still being written. Just slowly, and

subject to immediate termination on the end of my career as a fanfic author.

The wake is private.

Chris Davies.
