Ranma-the-Trainer works better than Ranma-the-Pilot.
Actually, you might see Ranma-the-Pilot somewhere in the future. Why?
Well, beccause only as a pilot will Ranma be able to change the First
Robotech War significantly. However, I do believe Ranma-the-Trainer is a
necessary step for him, as it will definitely help him understand the
seriousness of the situation.
Also, if we are seeing
more from his point of view, you won't need to re-write everything
that
happened in the Robotech series verbatum.
In these first chapter, most of the action was showed from Ranma's
viewpoint, all right, but I intend to change this in the future. Ranma's
presence will provoke important changes in the original Robotech plot,
and thus I'll be able to rewrite new, fresh scenes.
That's the idea, at least. ^_^
Veritech battles are cool
visually, but can get dull in reading. :) Definitely looking forward
to
more dialog and interpersonal stuff.
Well, though McKinney's novels had many Veritech battles in them, I
never got bored of them. But yes, dialogue and relationships will be
very important in this story.
The whole bathroom scene was classic! Poor Rick, he's never gonna
know what
hit him! I can definitely see one big mess though, between Kyle,
Minmei,
Rick, Ranma, and Lisa. They are all interconnected in some way.
Yep. And there's another character you haven't mentioned which will also
be in the middle of it all. ^_~
Ranma
fighting Kyle is definitely one-sided, but Ranma training Rick to beat
Kyle?
THAT would be fun! :)
Heheheh. Y'know, I hadn't thought about that. Neat idea, but I think
Rick would need years of training to reach Kyle's level. Or maybe I'm
overestimating Kyle?
