Hello List:
In light of my recent computer problems (exploding, imploding, falling
of desks, instantaneous combustion, ect), work on the rebol based
fan-fic reader has been delayed. Further, actions at
Rebol-Technologies has even further delayed things (How dare they
release a COMMERCIAL product?!!? Can you believe a company want's
money for their work in this day and age?), and I have been beseeched
with work as well.
Ending my belly-aching, work has finally began to commence again on
the project. The front end will still be based in Rebol/View, as this
is the best way to code it one time for the many platforms available.
The good news is that Rebol View has been updated for many platforms,
and this means it will work better, once I get rid of the obsolete
code. Finally, I'm asking this list to submit suggestions! To this
end, keep in mind that I will not re-write Mozilla, IE, or Opera.
Parsing HTML is out of the question; however, I may write the code to
send the appropriate URL to a browser.
Thanks for taking the time to read this post! Also, the fanfic reader
is FREE, and will always be FREE.
