the line about the blue hair wasn't extant, I'd have thought it were Kurumi
(from HERZ, for all you deprived people who have not yet had the priviledge
to witness the epic). This one nearly made me faint. Although I share an
enmity with out-of-characterness, I couldn't help but smile at this one.
the NEGEV Rei has been influenced by loads of fanfics - e.g.
Andrew Huang's Council of Ayanami (all of them) and John Biles
& Rod M's CoaEG Rei. And Star Trek: Voyager's Seven of Nine.
Among others.
actually i'm having loads of fun with the relative freedom of an
elseworlds to tweak (or totally mangle) the characterisations.
actually methinks it's Ritsuko and Maya who are really OOC - but
it's too much fun to see them like that! (at least for me)
Many lines in this fic had me cracking up. I'm currently in a counseling
building (don't ask), so I had to hold my laughter in. MY chest was about
to explode as things like:
"Hi, Dad," Shinji responded without much enthusiasm as he winced internally.
'He can be *such* a drama queen.'
if you thought that was bad, you should see the out-takes from the
first draft. those were too over-the-top. even for me.

A comparison to Ejd! Ohmigod! In those immortal words of Bill and
Ted, 'I'M NOT WORTHY!!!' (kowtows repeatedly to a giant jellydonut)
seriously though, an appendix is a great way of piling on loads of
info i couldn't squeeze into an already somewhat saturated text. makes
it easy for pple who aren't into that kind of thing to skip it too.
Ah, geez, I have to leave now. I'd ask Mr. Toh to write faster, but then, I
should really speak for myself.
