You call this Helpful C&C? I tend not to write about chracters I don't
invent myself. I have many stories about my chracters but I never use
chracters someone else has created. This was one of my attempts and you
made a joke out of it. I write to reduce the stress from my life and you
insult me? IF you wanted to give me help with my writing you could have
emailed me as many have done from this list. Not bring this to life as a
joke.

------------------------------------------------------

I'm going to side step in here since I have already had a few bad experiences
in regards to one MST I did sometime ago. I would like to state that MSTs
have slowly evolved further from the insulting banter it became famous for in
the orignial TV show. Most stories MSTed are of very good quality, (like Andrew's
Redhead MSTs, Mercuito's MSTs of Children of An Elder God series, and Warhammer's
MSTs of Teknoman fics) and an MST nowadays, especially on the FFML, does not
necessarily mean the fic is horrible.

At least for me, MSTs have become an alternate and funnier attempt at C&Cing a fic.
And for some reason the stigma that MSTs are reserved for bad fics still persists
unfortunately despite efforts of MSTers on the FFML to be balanced in the jokes
 they make.

In this instance, Red, I would suggest not taking this MST so personally. Knight's
MST actually gave more advice than he did make jokes, and on top of that the jokes
themselves were not even aimed at the story itself and even to lesser degree you.
Yes, Knight was a bit blunt in his C&C, but that is not to say Knight was not justified in
offering you his opinion. Use it as motivation to improve yourself, believe me it's a great
feeling to get approval from those who were your worst critics.

I know that critical, extensive, (and blunt at that), C&C can be tough to take when you
first publicize your work, but trust me, it's best to take it at its face value and not take
 it so personally.

Anyway, I hope to see you both to continue your involvement on the list, whether it be
 C&Cs or fics.

 There, I've said my piece.
