Yesterday, I was pretty moody when I wrote the first three paragraphs
before my Variable Geo Variable Nu chapter 1.
*SIGH*
I'd like to apology to everyone who was actually shocked and those who
still have an inkling of respect for me. Every so often, when the
temperature drops, I get really moody. The rest of the time, I'm my usual
freaky cheerful self, but it would seem I have to make an ass out of myself
every so often.
I was angry because I got some negative C&C on Pokemon HAHAHAHAHA! It
wasn't the C&C itself, I always appreciate it, it was a notation in the C&C.
It made me angry because I was insulted that the person who wrote it
actually thought that a fanfic writer would go through the effort of
repeating the exact same story of the Anime with the same screw ups on Ash's
part.
First of all, I may repeat things, but I do NOT intend to go through,
introducing every Pokemon in the same way that the Anime did, repeating the
same encounters, repeating the same stock dialogue and forcing the exact
same events.
I was hurt, because I realized that a lot of fanfic writers, beginners and
veterans alike, basically keep writing the same openings over and over. Are
we actually falling into so pathetic a pattern that a deviation in a story
makes us uneasy and grouchy? I know how much you people like reading the
exact same intro for a Ranma story (Ranma and his father fighting, Ranma
getting hit over the head, then dragged to the Tendos), but can we be a tad
more inventive?
So, yes, this was the spark for my angry and bitter mood. I apologize and
I'll try and keep my barbed tongue reigned in until an appropriate day, like
Halloween.
I'll repost VGVN part 1 and add part 2. The page for the story is under
construction, so please wait. I promise that I'll have it done before the
week is up.
