Avenging Chapter 6 - Weighty Matters

Just as I was wondering what had happened to this series, what do I
see in my mailbox? I'm usually more of an NGE fanfic person than a
Ranma fanfic reader but am really hooked onto this series - have to
confess that I can't remember much Marvel stuff but Mr Sommers has
managed this fusion beautifully.
This latest installment echoes the Dojo Destroyer ep early in the
Ranma manga and tv series and is packed with packed with plenty of
laughs. It also sets the scene for tension b/w Ranma and Nabiki.
I'm really curious to see for how much longer can the various
characters keep their superhero identities secret. Mr Sommers
promises more development of the overall story arc in the next
chapter. Already looking forward to that.
Now, perhaps if i concentrate hard enough, I'll get the chapter
of Scriviner's 'The Gods Within' in my mailbox soon. ^_-

I normally am quite determined to make an effort to read original
(but still anime-flavoured) fanfics such as the critically acclaimed
'It's a Rainy Day Sunshine Girl' (what an intriguing title btw!)
but sadly moi has never got round to do so. Until now.
Maybe because the fanart for Kumiko was just too kawaii - and being
a Reihead, I guess I'm a sucker for blue-haired, red-eyed girls.
Chapters 1 to 7 have been a really enjoyable and absorbing read as
we are introduced to the two main characters - Ken who seems like a
loser version of Keiichi (AMG) and Kumiko (bubbly yet demonic),
the focus being on how Ken is adapting to being a demon's sex slave
and how Kumiko is learning new things about earth and human
behaviour. The development of their relationship is tentative -
making it all the more tantalising. Other threads tie in with
the main plot and reinforce it, giving the story a multi-layered
feel - particularly the (mis)adventures of the Paranormal Club as
well as Natsume with her coffee shop and Angel girl Ayame.
Really enjoyable read, quite touching in places as well - and is
giving me the impetus to read 'Project Kawaii' and 'It's a Rainy
Day...'

A more than readable AMG lemon with a plot, context and other
such good stuff from the author who gave us kickass Slayers epics,
improfanfic and mtcff ULTRA? It's almost too good to be true!
Yet true enough it is. You have to see it to believe it - though
only if you're over 18. Marvellous stuff though, given the fuss
#1 created on the FFML recently, many in the community already know.
