What I liked abt the fic? Well, even if the whole Akane-Ranma get-them-together-no-matter-what themes in some fics can seem so contrived, the basic thing abt this fic is that it doesn't come out that way, and it isn't necessarily that. The story line flows naturally, the characters act canonically, and it's the character's actions that write the story, not just the events, which is a good thing by the way :) Furthermore, the course of Genma getting the table is quite a rational, believable, logical and funny thing. ^^ The "He had it coming" line was ironic and funny, a nice touch! Though I must say that the Kuno bit was... well... underdone. One little decision Ranma makes doesn't necessarily change his situation, ne? Or him for that matter... there are times in the fic where I go "Hey, who are you and what did you do to Ranma?" And Akane...

FINALLY has come out of the violent temperamental gorilla strong tomboy stereotype! WOOO-HOOO!!! Well, I'm glad for that, that's what I am. We finally see a side of Akane only reserved to ppl like Sayuri and her other best friends, and not to the stereotypical stuff that most authors relegate her in. (sigh) Good work with that. On a final note, the third chapter ends uneventfully, with Ranma (who had just taken in Kasumi-brand happy pills) teaching Akane how to cook (heh-heh... good luck...). It kinda works, if you want that shoelace-untied kinda ending... well, other than Ranma taking a nosedive in characterization (the most jeering I hear him is with his oyaji...), and the fact that Genma's plot to embarass him was downplayed, I liked the fic. Maybe mostly because it breaks stereotypes and lets us see Akane and Ranma (though just a leeetle bit over with Ranma... maybe more heavy-duty doings with his pop will suffice) in a new light. Great fic, man! Write more!
