A WORD FROM TANGENT: Surprisingly enough, I was at some odds as to how to approach this chapter. While I had a clear idea as to what I wanted to do, having those events occur while 'Ranko' was attending Furinken High School was problematic at best. And then Lord Talon informed me that the Saotome home was in Juban and not Nerima as I had originally thought. This not only set thing back on their original track, but opened up some intriguing possibilities as well...

***Why does that change anything?  Senior highschools in Japan are NOT decided by district.  Elementary and junior high schools are mostly public and controlled by the city board of education (there are some private ones...mostly in the TOkyo-area I think).  Public Senior high schools are controlled by the prefectural board of education and are decided by entrance exam.  And there are many private high school that many kids attend, for which entrance is by exam as well.  THUS.  Ranma can live in Juban and still go to Furinkan.


Side note (private replies please): Is it actually stated that Furinkan is in Nerima-ku in the Manga or Anime?  Is it written on the building (I don't think so, but...)?  Any idea what banchi the Tendo home is in?  Furinkan?
