'Only ten thousand?'

Considering that a really cheap apartment in Tokyo will cost you
approximately 80,000 yen a month, 'Only ten thousand' is a rather
restrained answer.  You might want to make it a bit more.  Even
here in the US, 100 dollars a month is extremely cheap.  Most 
parents charge their children more than that if they charge them
rent.
