Due to some well tought out feedback, the foreward at the begining of Shattered Dreams ch01 - A Crushing Blow will be clipped. It will instead be an optional prelude chapter for those who like that sort of thing.
I liked it, which is why I wrote it in the first place, and tried to keep it, even after the first bit of well meaning advice to get rid of it. But the criticism is correct - if it detracts from the story that I'm trying to tell, it should be handled differently.
On a seperate note: Ch02 may take a while to write. In the interum time, I will be posting chapters of other fics that I have written over the past year. I suffer from a curious form of writers block that won't let me work on just one idea at a time, so I have upwards of a couple dozen seperate fics or so that I could post. Shattered Dreams was just the first that I wanted feedback on.
Of the stories that have multiple chapters to post, I submit a choice between two of them:
Misshapen Destiny - a Ranma/Sailor Moon crossover (although the Sailor Moon characters do not start showing up until chapter four). In this, I explore what might happen if Ranma had actually drowned in the spring of drowned girl, only to be resuscitated by a couple of passing amazons (Cologne and Shampoo). Like Shattered Dreams, this tale deals with some serious issues, although I do try to lighten it up here and there.
Six chapters ready to post
Complimenting Opposites - a staight Ranma altaverse, where Nabiki Tendo did not decide to foist Ranma onto Akane on the very first day. This is primarily a romantic story, with some adventure elements planned for in relatively light doses. I like how it is shaping up, but I think I could use a bit of advice in order to help shape the story better.
