Heya both! I have a couple of things in mind as I read this prologue... pretty sound fic...

Sailor Moon, but I am not. Therefore I will use the
American names in this story. Sorry.
Dun be... though most ppl will (wince) at the Sailormoon NA dub names... but just as long as you dun reduce everything to "wicked cool" it'll all be forgivable ^_^

Sailor Moon - Pharaoh 90 has been defeated recently

Prologue
Balance. One of the few words that safely describe
the universe as a whole. Since the beginning, every-
thing in existence has possessed some sort of balance.
Good and Evil. Love and Hate. Life and Death. There even
exists a balance between worlds. And like all balances,
when the one existing between worlds is disturbed, the
powers that be will do everything to set it right.
Forgive me... but as I have seen the NA Pokemon the first Movie, I keep on imagining the same voice narrator that said "Life... the great miracle... and the great mystery..." doing your little prologue speech. Dun worry, it's just me... (cringe) I'm getting goosebumps as I remembered the cheesiness in _that_ movie (shudder)
This is the basis for this story.
The story of two worlds soon to collide...

The creatures, as they appear, all seem to share the same basic body structure. Tall frame. Thin arms. Legs whose knees bend in the oposite direction from a human's. Three digits on the hands and feet. Long tail. The appearance of these creatures makes it obvious what they are clones of.
Mewtwo.
Aaah... the only pokemon which is the most departed from the other's Mokona-cute-and-cuddly-like nature of the rest... the one which actually has "character" (gasp!) and "depth" (swoon!) of all the pokemon. I see my earlier observation about the first movie was correct.

Well, this what caught my attention with this fic... I was wondering when people would do that angle of Mewtow after watching the pokemon movie (I just presumed people found the movie all too cheesy to bother). If Mewtwo was created, why not other Pokemon types? Though I'm surprised no grasstypes emerged. It's basically almost like the Evee evolution stages, these Mewtwo clones.
"Welcome to the world, my pyschic friends.
And their all psychic too? Cool... this is beginning to sound more and more interesting...
Intrigued, the shadowed man is unsurprised as the fifth capsule is shattered in a flood of blinding light.
Used with this type of outburst with the first one, I see.
Except for a crescent-shaped crest on its forehead, points up, the fifth clone looks almost exactly like the original Mewtwo. There are subtle differences, however. Where the 'shoulder guards' of the original's body armor flared upwards slightly, this one's curve over the joint, like a shell. The 'armor' was overall less angular. The arms were shorter, the legs thicker, the tail thinner and longer. If one word could describe this clone, it would have to be....
....'female'.
I suppose the female thing is the connection to Sailormoon here? The most powerful of them all... the female... though I'm wondering if Mewtwo will also make his appearance, along with Mewtwo and the others. _That_ would really make a lot of complications and the fight itself would be dealing with so much issues reserved in religion. ^_^
"We thought that by making the purely psychic one female, we could perhaps curb her violent tendencies, unlike her male counterpart - with whom we were unsuccessful in that regard. But I am perplexed at the power spike before her emergence; that kind of energy is indicative of-"
"Evolution, yes, I know." Turning to the first four, the man in the shadows steps into the light. It is Giovanni, now addressing the group.
"Gentle-mon, may I introduce your sister... Mewthree."
And the true plot is shown. Very intriguing.. though I'm just wondering: why SM? And why bother? The whole concept of these new clones and Mewthree can probably stand alone in the pokemon continuity _without_ SM anyway. Though, I'm intrigued at what SM has to do with anything. The crossover deal can either make or break your fic. Oh, and doesn't Ryu Gabriev have his own email address for him to be addressed as well, Xellos-san?

As if it were an omen of disaster to come, the skies above Viridian City split, venting the fury of the heavens in a great thunderbolt. For even nature itself trembles at the coming of such a powerful thing-which-should-not-be.
Tremble, O ye mortals, and weep. The Day of Judgment is come, and the gavel is in the hand of evil.
Cool speech... as soon as I erase the narrator voice-over that came over my head... makes it all cheesy ^_^;
