He has destroyed many villages, hamlets and towns. He

"Yes. We know what he does. Our former hamlet was
burnt by him. It was a small peaceful town. I wonder
why he did it to this
day."
"...You may have this gift now," He said, as he
handed him a sword. The sword was made completely of
Crystal. Engraved in the
handle was a small crescent shape. Aknar thanked him.
Magus walked to him, and the King gave him 100GP which
he put in his
gold bag. He then walked back to Aknar and the other.
The King waited a few seconds and said: "As a token of
my appreciation,
you may all stay in
this castle again"
"Thank you, your majesty" Kai said to
him. They were escorted to their rooms by a young man.
They all sat on their beds and took of their shoes.
"Nice place!" Maverock exclaimed. Aknar turned and lie
on his bed. "I'm soo
tired" He mumbled. "Uh... Aknar.. I have to tell you
this now.." Maverock said. Kai and Magus slowly got up
off of their beds.
Magus and Kai sat on Aknar's bed, which was across
from Maverock's. They all watched, and waited for what
he was about to
say.
He began... "As you know I left home. But you don't
know the reason yet. Just hours after you left... We
were attacked by
soldiers. There were only 5 but we were only 3.
Aknar, they came into our house, and they attacked us.
I managed to defeat
one... but... Another came in the house, and as I
was in the front of the house fighting off the other
one, with no weapon... A
seperate one came into the house and... He stabbed
your Mother through the chest. I killed the other
soldier, and I went into the
house to find a Soldier out cold on the floor, and
your Mother on the floor bleeding. She looked at me.
The fear in her eyes... The
last thing she said was 'Maverock... I'll love you
forever... Please look for Aknar...' She then passed
away... It hurts me to think
about
it."
Aknar looked at him in shock. Two tear drops shed
from Kai's eyes. They rolled down her cheek. Magus who
was in shock as
well, but his arm around
Kai, and said "It's okay,"
That night it was hard for them to
sleep. Aknar finally fell asleep late. So did Kai, and
Magus.
Late at night (or early in the morning). Past
midnight. Kai's eyes opened quickly. She looked at
Magus across from her, and sat
up. Magus slowly sat up as well. They looked at each
other. "Oh... Magus..." Kai mumbled. "You couldn't
sleep as well?" Magus
asked. He looked at her, and sat
next to her on her bed. "I just keep thinking..."
"Yes...?"
"My Mother is dead..
I'll never see her again..."
"... I
know..."
"But we're... We're doing more dangerous things then
her... I could die tomorrow... Easily... My Mother is
dead, and I can't see
her again... and..." She stood up... "And... All I
keep thinking of is the way we used to talk, and
everything we used to do together.
She was like my best friend..." another
tear drop rolled down her cheek as her eye filled with
sorrow.
"Kai... I'm
sorry..."
"But.. I could die.. I'm so scared Magus," She sat
down slowly next to him and looked at him, with a tear
still in her eye.
"Kai... You're
right..."
"Yes, I
know,"
"But... If you're scared, I'm going to do something.
I'm going to protect you. No matter what happens, no
matter what there is to
fend off"
"You'd do that
for me?"
"Yes..."
"Oh! Thank you!" She smiled at him and hugged
him tightly. "Now, we best be going back to bed,"
Magus said.
Kai slowly moved her body into the bed sheets, and
left only her head out of them. Magus only left his
legs in the sheets. Magus
slowly closed his eyes, and Kai did as well.. But
Magus opened his eyes slightly, just to check on Kai.
The soft moonlight was
shining in on her face, and her eyes were closed
gently. He smiled and completely closed his eyes, and
quickly drifted to sleep...
The morning sun rose behind a couple of clouds, and
it shone into the window. Aknar partially opened his
eyes. A small crack of
the sunlight went through the area in which was
open. His eyes opened entirely, and he still lie in
bed. He stretched his legs
slightly, to get him ready for
standing. He slowly stood up, and looked at the
others.
"HEY!!!" He yelled. Magus
turned in bed and mumbled. "What..?"
"It's sunrise. Get up. We have to go."
Aknar said, hastely. as he picked up the backpack.
"Wait," Magus moaned, as he noticed Kai, and
Maverock awakening. They stood, slowly. Aknar looked
at them.
"We have to go" He
repeated, becoming annoyed.
Magus stood, and stretched. He looked at
Aknar, and said : "Why do we have to leave so early?"
"Because, I don't want to waste
any time," Aknar said, looking at Aknar.
A couple minutes later, the other two had
risen. Maverock had sat them down, again to talk to
them.
"Aknar. I am getting old. I think the best thing for
me is to stay here. I think I should ask the King if I
could stay." He explained.
Aknar looked
at him.
"Are you sure?"
He asked.
"Yes... I am sure"
His Father said.
They walked through the halls, just
Aknar, and Maverock. They spoke to the King.
"What is it you wish to speak to me about?" The King
asked. "Could my Father stay here..?" Aknar asked,
sounding scared of the
answer.
"Yes." He replied "On one
condition. He must be a soldier."
Aknar looked at
the King.
"But... What if he dies?" He
said, with an almost worried voice.
The King smiled and said. "Don't worry, we have
already produced two Diamon vests, and a diamond
sword, and spear... He'll be
fine, and as soon as I produce a full
body diamond Armor , I'll give him that. He'll be
fine"
"Thank you, your heighness..."
Maverock said, slowly kneeling down.
Later that day, Aknar, Kai, and Magus were slowly
walking out of the castle. On the way out, they saw
one extra guard. It was
maverock, and he was wearing a
diamond vest, and a wood spear with a steel tip.
"Goodbye, father!" Kai yelled as they walked out of
the town. They made one more stop by the weapons shop.
Aknar turned in
his former weapon, and gained 5 GP, so now they had
105 Gold coins. Magus turned in his spear, and now
they had 110 Gold
Coinds. Since Aknar had his new sword, made of
crystal, he did not need a weapon. Magus bought a
short sword, and Kai did not
buy anything. The fruit they had, had gone bad, and
the bread stale, so they bought some more fruit, and
bread. They now had 90
Gold coins
left.
Aknar looked at his weapon, as they walked out of the
village. The look on his face was almost sinister. He
ran his finger up the
blade, only to find out it was sharper than he
imagined. A small cut appeared on his finger, and
drizzled down it. "Oops.." he
mumbled, and Kai quickly glanced at him. They
walked behind the town, and they were on their way
into their forest.
Just before they entered the forest, Aknar looked
into it. "AAH! I hate forests!" He yelled. He was
annoyed that they were
completely surrounded by forests,
except for where they had come from
"Aknar! You startled me!" Kai said, as he looked at
him, with an annoyed face. Magus looked at the two.
"C'mon" He said. The
day was very nice. The few clouds in the sky were
small, and white. The sun was high enough to emmit
some eat, and it hit his
back
intensly.
"Okay, let's go..." Aknar mumbled, looking into the
forest. They began walking through the forest. The
first thing they had to walk
over was a large fallen tree. It was about 5 and a
half foot wide, so they couldn't see over it. And just
as Aknar expected as soon
as he climbed over it, a monster was there. It was a
large ambhibian-lizard-like creature, that stood on
two feet, and had large
horns, a spikey tail, fangs. It was a larger, more
evolved looking version of a demon frog. Aknar stood
facing it alone. The thing
hissed. "Aknar!? What's wrong..?"
Kai asked from the other side of the tree.
Aknar stuttered "Y-you know
those Demon Frog-things?"
"What about them?"
Magus asked
"Well.. This one is larger..
I-I think that they are ..growing."
"Try to hold him off
we'll be right over!" Kai shouted.
The thing swung it's spun around, swinging it's tail
at Aknar. Aknar sliced quickly, severing it's tail. It
fell off. Aknar looked down
at his weapon in surprise of it's strength. Just
then, the creature hit him into the log with the
remaining part of it's tail! Kai quickly
jumped off of the log, and jammed her dirk into the
creatures head. Kai stood next to the dead creature.
Aknar looked at it.
"Thanks," he said, as Magus jumped down, and landed
next to them. "Let's go!" Magus yelled, excitedly. He
wanted to finish the
walking.
You might think they liked this part of the
adventure, but it was to them, at least, very dull. It
was the same boring thing, over and
over. Tree, after tree, after tree. And once in
awhile, when a monster came, they'd have a bit of an
"Adventuress spirit", but they
were getting bored, and
losing their will to walk further.
Aknar stopped. He lookes at Kai, and Magus who were
still walking. "Wait, you two!" He exclaimed. His body
went limp, and he
slumped to the ground.
He sat on the ground.
"I'm tired of walking..." He mumbled. Kai, and Magus
walked up to him, and Magus sat by Aknar, Kai sat by
Magus.They were
leaning against a large
tree, and in front of them was a log.
