Overall, on the story, pretty good. The Nabiki subplot was disposed of
way too conveniently, IMO -- Akane's photo struck me as rather a deus ex

promises to be very interesting, especially considering Ranma's
conflicting feelings on the matter and the chance of him doing something
unexpected.

Well, I'm not Kara, but I thought I should respond to
this, Gary. Deus ex machina implies a solution that's too bloody
convenient. Something contrived. Whereas THIS little sort of thing
_does_ happen all the time in the real world. And I speak from
painful personal experience. *wince* Remind me to tell you about
the time my baby sister Tina got her grubby little hands on the
photos my parents took of me learning.. well.. let's just say it
wasn't pretty.
Point is, parents CONSTANTLY take such horrendously
embarrassing pictures of their children, and I'd be willing to
wager good money that at least 1/3 (if not more) of all households
in the modern world have a photo album of their beloved children
that's a time bomb waiting to blow up in the (now adult) children's
faces.
*grins* Who knows, Gary? Just such a photo could be
Lurking in YOUR past, ready to leap out at you when you least
expect it. It can happen. And often does.
Just illustrating a point. ^_^
