Oh...I entirely miss-read this...I saw it as:

Usagi sighed couldn't she ever make to school on time? The Kamis knoew
she tried....
 She dashed around te corner...

:Setsuna *froze* time. (well not totally, that would break her vows.:
:Time just suddenly took on the consistancy of very cold molasis.:

"Okay." She said.

Borax, a youma she had *reformed* from the Dark Kingdom threw her a lazy
salute.
Whistling happily to himself he moved the crane operator from his seat
and fired up his portable time key
The hoist whirred in to action and with some precarious movement he was
able to snag the falling beam in the chain and begin to gingerly move it
in the eddies of thickened time.

Setsuna squinted up at the operation.
She took of her hard had which ad perched jauntily on her head and
scratched thoughtfully.

"A couple more feet." She decided.

"You got it Boss." Despite Borax's cute and pixy-like features she had the
mouth and language of a longshoreman (growing up in the Dark Kingdom will
do that to you.)

With more cranework and then more percarious hand work the beam was again
set to plummet free.

"Perfect." The Mistress of Time said in satisfaction.

Borax replaced the worker to his seat with careful ministration. "Nice
Buns" the youma muttered through her stogie.

The Youma and her mistress stepped away from the area to a nearbuy cafe
where they could still observe the secene.

The Dusky Skinned Lady of Chronos muttered the magic words.
 "O.k. Marker. Speed. Sound and....Action."

:time sped up:

As Usagi lunged around the corner she was suddenly taken aback at the
steel girder which smashed on the grownd barely 10 feet from her.
She gulped, recognizing her mortaliy and the sudden brush with the
Unmaker.

"Lucky." she cried happily and bolted for school.

Setsuna rolled her eyes. this had been the 4th thing today and the day was
just starting. Borax had returned to the table (after getting the guy
behind the counter's number) with cups of steaming black coffee.

"So?" Borax asked expectantly....hoping she could punch out early.

Setsuna opened her temporal day timer. Sighed.

"You better call the union." She said. "It looks like we'll need extra
help."

"Why?"

Soundlessly she showed her confidant what was on for the day.

The youma said somethig that wilted a lamp and created a small pink cloud.

"Why?" The Dark Maiden of the Temoral Stability questioned the uncaring
Fates. "Why does this clutz of a girl sign op for track and field day?"

Sailor Moon, making her less efective, easier to control and manipulate to

Now what would happen if this information became known to the rest of the
Senshi? >>

A very interesting idea. It kinda makes Setsuna sound like a super evil
villain though. What if she had a reason - like if Usagi wasn't clumsy
and
ditzy she might turn out to be very cold hearted and the future was even
worse than the present. If Usagi was a conniving person she might, oh I
don't know, kill Beryl but strike a deal with metallia or something like
that. (Has anyone ever read Innocence in A minor? It doesn't go quite
like
that but ... it's still pretty scary)
The Senshi, finding out that Setsuna has been manipulating Usagi would
probably get very angry, without knowing the reasons, as so often happens.
Visions of a very scary alternate reality are running through my head.
Like,
a fight between senshi and setsuna, forcing her not to interfere and the
future is changed becasue of it ...
So many ideas, so little time.
I'd like to read whatever comes out of this idea too.

Actually, the idea I had imagined was something along the lines that Setsuna
believed Usagi could not make the 'hard' decisions required to ensure the
existence of the future, so she ensured Usagi would be lead along the path
she chose. Usagi might be too cold/manipulative (an angle I had not
considered) or to kindhearted to do what had to be done.

Sacrifices must be made. But is the cost of the sacrifice equal to or
greater than the value of the future?

Just wondering, folks.
