I wanted to read the last chapter before saying anything about this fic, given
all the fuss it generated. Hey, could you blame me for that? ^_^
At a conscious level, I must say that Ranko was a little upsetting. She was
indeed crying too much for my taste. Heck, even my little sister doesn't cry as
much, and she's a crybaby. (That, and a violent maniac too. Hello sis! ^_^;)
Like a lot of people, I had the feeling that everything went too smoothly for
her. She seemed to adapt really quickly to her new/old condition, the only real
difficulties in her relationship with Ryoga were coming from herself... Well,
you know what I mean? Others stated this better than me.
But you know what? I didn't care when reading this story. I just realised that
I had a genuine smile on my face after reading the last chapter, and that means
that Deborah managed to convey the right feelings through her story. For me,
that's what makes "Genma's Daughter" worth reading.
Go on, Deborah! And I'm waiting for "Genman's Granddaughter"! ^_^
