it has any place in this story. (Although Scott's idea with Kumon
was
fantastic: forcing Ranko to face an image of her own lost
masculinity could
be excellent feed for some nicely intense introspection.)
And it's never been done, because all the "Ranma goes girl" stories
either branch off so far before that story (as Genma's Daughter does)
or take place much, much later (like Thy Outward Part and Iris).
"Who are you, anyways?" asked Ranko.
The arrogant young man replied, "I'm Ranma Saotome!"
"But you can't be! I--" Ranko choked off her sentence; she
certainly didn't have a right to the name any more. "You just
can't!"
