I was braced for a disappointment with EVA, but like any fanfic writer, I
saw plenty of room for improvement, if the right ideas were mixed in.
Warning, spoilers below!
The EVA of Heaven:
"Father... My dreams change things. I mean, mom was dead, then alive and
now she's dead again. And the Angels, they weren't there before, I dreamed
them up."
"Excellent. The Instrumentally Project is working. Now Shinji, I want you
to focus on this candle."
Clone Alone:
Rei foils a pair of bungling burglars by leading them into trap after trap
with her perfect poker face.
Oh My Angel:
"We must keep our promises, no matter what."
"Why do you always say that Belldandy?"
"Because I must not run away away Shinji." (Softer, and with a trace of
bitterness, just for her own ears.) "Like my parents did."
Project Lain:
Kei's attempt to keep a perfect regular robotic pace was spoiled as Lain
dragged her along.
"Hurry, or we'll be late for class."
That strange girl with the short blue hair was leaning against the gate.
Silent as a ghost. Rei, that was her name.
She didn't look up as the other two girls passed and her lips barely moved,
"Ten years ago."
"What?" Lain stopped.
"Yurikago Kindergarten."
Lain bowed her head in thought, "Un, I don't recall."
"You stole Kei away, but you weren't there."
Dragonball EVA:
Nuff said.
