Recieving several 150+ K messages in one day is just a BIT much.
Especially recieving a 277k (?!?) message!
It took me twelve tries this morning to get my mail. Agreed, this is
mostly because I have a crappy mail server (Verio sucks, BTW), but it
never
has any problems with under 150k messages.

Just an added tip - and I sent this along to the FFML because I know
that there will be others that might not know this either - but because you
know some people won't take the time, if you look under (in Outlook Express
5, for this example, but with a little looking in the menus you can do this
with all proggies.) mail rules (filters), and you can set it to not download
messages larger than a certain size from the server at all.
Switching gears slightly to the viewpoint of the senders... You can
(again, Outlook Express 5) go to Accounts/(MailAccount)Properties/Advanced
and look down about 2/3rds of the way - there's an option to automatically
break up messages larger than xKB - again, if you look around, I THINK that
you can do this in any proggy.
