Sailor V would need to be paid in cash and be able to deposit
large amounts of cash without being traced. Of course the Crystal
could have arranged that.

The first issue of Spiderman was before electronic fund transfers were
as popular as they are now. In addition, US banks are not
anonymity-friendly...but Minako wouldn't use US banks. She has the
opposite end of this spectrum available to her: Swiss banks.

If Sailor V were to be paid in some form of bank system someone might
realize that they could try to track her funds and would see that it keeps
getting syphoned off somewhere else. I assume a hacker could then find
out to whom the money ultimately goes...

That's why I specified Swiss banks. They're infamous for *preventing*
exactly that kind of tracking. Money goes in, money comes out; you
can't tell from/where to unless you're one of the larger governments in
the world. (Or so the stereotype goes; I don't know if they actually
work that way. But I know there are some banks in the world that do.)
Thus, Minako Aino could withdraw from that account all she wanted, and
set up things from there on in her name, when the initial deposit was to
the account Sailor V said that deposits should go to.

This might be getting a bit off topic...so, to drag it back *on* topic
for this list: if you want a crossover, she could have had contacts
among whatever non-mainstream-Earth society you bring in (say, if she
met Kiyone and discovered her true nature), and used a "bank" set up as
a front to store money in their banking system (which might be the same
one that the GP uses to get Kiyone's paycheck to her, with Sailor V as a
"legitimate human customer" to give more of an illusion of reality to
the bank).
