A BGC/SLAYERS X-OVER
Chapter 1
Two titans clashed, their blows rang out like a sword
fight. Lina's and Gourry's forks were locked into each other,
desperately fighting of the last meatball. The fight ended suddenly
when Lina was engulfed in a golden light and disappeared. At first
not noticing anything unusual Gourry quickly ate the meatball while
Zelgadis goggled at the place where Lina had just been. "Where's
Lina gone to?" asked Gourry.
"Hi," said Xellos.
"What have you done with Lina Xellos?"inquired Zelgadis.
"I'm deeply hurt that you think so little of me Zel-chan" said
Xellos with a grin.
"Don't play innocent Lina disappears and you appear, that's
a little to much of a coincidence." retorted Zel.
"Well, Lina will not survive much longer without help, so
you better hurry, bye."
"Wait!", screamed Zel,"Where is Lina?"
"Ah, that's as secret." answers Xellos as he faded away.

Lina wasn't in a good mood, to say that she was pissed off
would be the understatement of the century. However there wasn't
much that she could do to the Lord of Nightmares right now. So
she would start by destroying those two golems in the street which
were destroying lots of stuff.
"FIREBALL!!", by Lina's standards the fireball was pitifully
weak, only strong enough to blow up a small group of bandits.
However to the boomers it was a huge blast. They didn't even
manage to signal Genom about this new threat since they spent to
much time updating their threat estimates, and analyzing the energy
this human was wielding.
Of course that didn't matter to Lina Inverse what mattered
was that her power was diminished, that the Lord of Nightmares
was doing something to her again, she was starved and had no
money and she didn't know where she was or what to do now.
[First things first: FOOD,] thought Lina with a new
determination showing up on her face, [To get something I need
money, to get money I need to liberate some money from the local
bandits.] With that in mind Lina went of in search of criminals.

The Outriders where felling Lucky today. Someone just entered
their territory and she looked fairly rich, after all only the rich have
such weird clothes. Or so they reasoned. Their funeral, Lina
frowned these guys had no gold coins, only a few made out of some
wired kind of metal and some paper strips they claimed was money.
"Where am I?" asked Lina to one of the surviving gang members,
who trembled in fear: "YourinTinselCity,pleasedon'tkillme."
"How far are we from Zelifia?"
"Idon'tknowI'veneverheardofthatplacepleasedon'tkillme."
"What date is it?"
"May 20"
"How long since the second mazuko war?"
"What war? And what the f##k are mazzauko?"
Lina let the quivering guy fall to the ground, the guy wasted no
time and fled. Lina just numbly stared after him, [No wonder that
everything looks so different. I have traveled to another world
again.] thought Lina.

Chapter 2

"I swear Inspector, there is a new kind of boomer out there,
it fights in human form, and launches has these big fireballs, and it
killed most of my friend and it looks so weak, just like a young girl,
and", at this point Leon interrupted the rambling biker, "What did it
look like?"
"Like a 12-year old girl, with red hair, and she is wearing
weird purple and yellow clothes."
"Any other distinguishing characteristics?"
"Yes, for a boomer she's weak but she's still stronger than
any human could possibly be. She also asks all kind of weird
questions."
"What type of questions?"
"Where am I, and what is the date, that kind of stuff, she
also didn't know about credit cards and paper money. She also
asked about Masszouku or something like that. Can I go now
please?"
"Ok, get lost and try not to rob anyone."
"So what do you think Daley?"
"I don't know Genom sending a new prototype against
street gangs and there are survivors? Doesn't sound like them."
"I agree there must be another explanation, I will have Nene
dig up some info."

"Hey Zel how are we going to rescue Lina?" asked Gourry.
"I don't know what Xellos said was vague even for him, I
guess that we could try ..." *KABLAM* Zelgadis was rudely
interrupted be someone who was more than slightly charred
slamming on their table."Uhng, alright already I'll give them some
more clues. Shezz authors these da.."
"XELLOS!"interrupted Zelgadis recognizing the figure
before him. "Where is Lina?!?"
"In BGC."
"Who or what is BGC?"
"A world where innocent mazuko and dragons where wiped
out by a force greater that even L-sama. This force then took
control of the world. Unlike the other staffs this world is totally
seperated from ours."
"Not again another world."
"This isn't just another world like last time this is a place
were L-sama has absolutely no say in what's going to happen."
"Then how did Lina get there?"
"That's a secret."
"How do we get there?"
"That's a secret." At this answer Zel cast "Wind, crimson
flame. Grant the power of thunder to my hand! DIGU VOLT!" .
"Ow ow ow."
"I ask again how do we get there?"
"And I say again: That is a secret." And with that Xel
teleported.
"Hrmf, I guess we'll have to go to the Guild-Archives.
Luckily there is a Guild-House in town. Let's go Gourry." said Zel.

Meanwhile at the Silky Doll, the Knight Sabers were having
a briefing on the two boomers Lina destroyed."What could possibly
destroy two boomers that fast?" asked Nene. "I don't know, but
from the blast radius I would say a big and heavy Howitzer."
answered Sylia, "But if that was the case the boomers would have
noticed before the shell hit and dogged. This means either a new
boomer or a new weapon. If it was a boomer it would have been
made by Genom, and most new weapons are made by Genom as
well. And Genom would have no reason to destroy rouge boomers.
I'll see if my contacts know anything. Priss why don't you check
out the word on the street and Nene try to find something on the
net."

At the same time in Quincy's office there is a similar
conversation. "What type of weapon destroyed two of our new C-
55 type boomers?" inquired Quincy "We don't know yet sir. But
our Tech and Intel departments will know soon enough." was
Mason's reply. "See that it does." was Quincy's instruction.

Priss and Leon are together in a restaurant where they both
stopped for lunch.
"You're joking right?", asked Priss, "Some Outrider comes
to you and Dailey claiming a boomer killed its gang?"
"No, I'm serious. I don't know what to make of it, one the
one hand we have half a dozen corpses that are charred as if by the
heat cannon of a boomer, yet there is a survivor."
"What's his name?"
"John Bauer, he has a clean record for an Outrider and we
can't prove that he did anything."
"Bye bye Leon." Said Priss before leaving Leon to pay the
bill.

Back in the Slayers world Zelgadis finally got access to the
library. When he entered the room the librarian had directed him to
he got a very shocking surprise. "What are you doing here?"
"That's a secret." said Xellos teleporting before Zelgadis
could fireball him. Warily Zelgadis looked at the book Xellos had
been looking in. The open pages described a gate which could bring
you anywhere you wanted to go. However, since it's partially
submerged in the sea of chaos it's not used all that often. The only
ones that know of its exact location are a few of the more powerful
mazuko. [I'm going to fry Xellos to a crisp if he doesn't tell me
where the gate is located.] swore Zelgadis to himself.

[Hmm, so these parchment strips are money?] thought Lina
to herself. [At least there is a good side to this, new types of food!!]
That thought made Lina a lot happier. [I still have some amulets, If
I could find a magic store I could sell them for some more money.]
So Lina went of to search for a restaurant or a magic shop,
whichever came first. The first thing she found was a McDonald so
she decided to get food first and sell stuff later, even if what she got
from the bandits probably wasn't enough for a decent meal. Seeing
as how people stood in line to get their food instead of being served
made Lina do likewise. She had counted her money to be 1000 yen,
seeing as most meals cost around 500 yen she took what she
considered a very light meal. A Big Mac, two Quarter Pounders
with Two Ultra Large Fries and a Coke and a Dr. Pepper.
After having inhaled *SMACK*... Sorry eaten her food Lina
continued on, oblivious to the stares she was getting from the rest
of the people in the restaurant. Dailey having been at the restaurant
the whole time immediately called Leon. [No way a human can eat
like that! And boomers normally don't eat... Was she/it a Sexaroid?
No way not with that figure.] Dailey decided to follow her till he
knew what was going on.
Leon decides to invite her for a snack wanting to see her
appetite for himself. He even promised that he would pay for
however much she could eat.

Leon could only stare in horror at the amount of food Lina
was eating, and at such an rate. Fortunately for his wallet this was a
cheap fast-food joint. "So what's your name?" Leon asked once she
slowed down a little.
"I'm Lina Inverse" said Lina before continuing the assault
on the food before her in full force.
"So where do you come from?" said Leon hoping to keep
the conversation going.
"Zefilia." said Lina not wanting to interrupt her meal.
"Where are your parents?"
"Don't know and don't care."
"How old are you?" asked Leon.
"Nineteen."answered Lina.
[No way,] thought Leon, [She is sixteen at most] "Do you
have any ID with you?"
"Iedee?"asked Lina confused.
"Yes, identification, you know credit card, driver licence,
passport, or something like that."
"Never heard of it."said Lina even more confused.
[What's up with this girl? How can she not know what an
ID is?] "Where is the Zelifia or whatever anyway?"
"ZEFILIA!! It's two weeks travel from Atlas City."
"I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF ATLAS CITY EITHER,
START TELLING THE TRUTH OR I'LL ARREST YOU!"Their
shouting match started to attract the attention of curious onlookers.
Not to mention Lina's eating habits."WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING
AT?" screamed Lina while getting up and leaving the restaurant in a
hurry. The crowd wisely parted before her. Leon tried to follow her
but by the time he got around the table she was already at the door,
and by the time he made it to the door she was gone. Normally she
would have cast a spell or two by now, but she still had that blasted
headache, and she still felt so weak. As luck would have it Lina
came to a deserted part of town, deserted because of a boomer. It
was a brand new prototype, called the BX-36. 2.5 meter tall, four
arms each with claws and a ranged weapon, two shoulder mounted
Gatling-gun turrets, the all time favorite particle-beam cannon in the
mouth, heat-beam in the foldopen chest, five centimeter thick armor
and a radar absorbing black coating. Unfortunately for Genom it
classified Lina as a low threat.
"Ah, another golem!" screamed Lina as the boomer stood
before her. The BX-36 wasted no time and targeted Lina, then a
shot rang out. Leon's earthshaker revolver doesn't even scratch the
boomer, however it does cause it to change it's target priorities,
aiming at Leon now. "FIREBALL" screamed Lina during this
break, a huge fireball leaves her hands, heading for the boomer, and
hit's dead-on. The boomer is thrown back a few meters but get's
back up, Leon is staring shocked at Lina. "Dill Brand!" shouted
Lina, causing the ground below the boomer to erupt. Leon's yaw is
about to hit the floor. Seeing that the boomer is still moving Lina
shouted "Flare Lance" sending a lance of fire towards the boomer
frying it. Leon's yaw makes a dent in the concrete, he regains his
composure fairly quickly, thinking: [BOOMER! It must be, nothing
else has that kind of power.]
Lina turns around and asks, "How did you find me?"
"You weren't hard to find, it's easy to get information on
someone who wear such weird clothes." Says Leon pointing to her
clothes. The next moment he's embedded in the road, courtesy of
Lina's elbow. [DAMN, shouldn't have left my guard down, now
I'm going to die.] much to his surprise Lina leaves instead of
finishing him off. [That has to be the weirdest boomer ever!]

Finally.it has taken me quite a while to finish this chapter, but I did
it.
