Review:
Rob Barba writes some pretty good action fics and you just have to love the
way he writes at times. Me, I get a real kick out of the stuff he writes. This
fic is no exception. Rob's come a long way from his Tales of Shampoo days
and it really shows. His military training and experience shows too, another
aspect that I love about his work. And this is a Dirty Pair fic, who doesn't love
a Dirty Pair fic?
A great chapter and a must read for Barba fans. And, BTW, sorry about not
responding on the stuff you're sending Rob. I'll get around to it eventually.

DBZ for me is anathema. If I wanted to read something similar, I'd rather read
the original Chinese myth that it was based upon. <sigh>
Anyway, for a DBZ fic this isn't half bad. The prose is good and it is pretty clean
throughout. The visual images that DBZ is so much dependent on is communicated
effectively. This would probably make a nice read for a fan.
Sadly, I'm not. Though I would love to see the author do works in other anime. Just not
DBZ.

Once again, a must read. Comparable with E.L. Toh's Herz this is the one
of the best NGE cont-fics ever. Highly recommended. I'd offer comments
on style and all that, but hey, the man's found his voice and it gets better with
each chapter. So once again, another hearty recommendation.

Though the formatting and grammar have a few typos, you just have to love this. ^_^
Keener shows off his weird brand of humor with this, IMHO, one of the more hilarious
Tenchifics out there. The concept is pure genius mixed with the writing style.
A recommended must-read for a good laugh.

Marlar has warned Urd of a worm in Yggdrasil, so Urd tries to find it.
In freeing herself from her onerous duties at the Goddess Relief Office,
Urd has unleashed a random wish generator in the form of Ryoga.
Naturally, Ryoga's first act is to try to give Akane her own wish.
After that, Hiroshi daydreams a little too loudly and gets his fondest
desire.
Review:
Mr. Eades finally does a straight fanfic! ^_^ Anyway, the highly popular author
of the Macho Cabbalo series brings his writing style to bear on a very original
concept story for a R 1/2 fanfic. Just loved it. A recommended must read for the
writing style alone.

Glad to see your formatting problems are mostly fixed. There's still room for
improvement to make the formaty more pleasing to the eye, but that's just me.
Anyway, forme, this fic hasn't hit a right note since the beginning of it, so I maybe
biased against it. At least, your writing and style is getting better and smoother.
But I'll probably like this more a year or so down the line when you finally found your
voice and revised the entire thing.

Well, the least I can say is it's clunky. The most is your prose is too sparse,
the scene changes come too quick and the flow of the entire thing just doesn't
ring true. Typos abound, also. My advice is you reading this and feel your
work. That should make you aware of your problems and, hopefully, help you
fix them.

must read. Mr. Hudson keeps on getting better as time passes.

Andy Skuse still kicks ass. A fine chapter and as I said in an earlier SLR,

Everytime I see 'new character', I react with a cringe. ^_^
Anyway, this is starting to read like, what an esteemed master of the
art of C&C calls, ' a thinly-veiled insert fic'. Aiyah, the character in itself
is stereotypical SI material: powerful, friendly and instantly likeable.
Aiyah, I must ask you to try and go over your work with a detached view
and try to se what's wrong.

A very nice read for a fan of teh series keeping with Mr. X's style and story.

Rumiko Takahashi must have loved the Cinderella fable - she included it
in so many of her stories. This is a tale of ashes, and people who play
in them, and what befalls people who get wishes from fairy godmothers...
er... make that 'agents'. Also, a little obfuscation of a less than
heavenly sort. Revision: Marlar has warned Urd of a worm in Yygdrasil,
so Urd tries to find it. In freeing herself from her onerous duties at
the Goddess Relief Office, Urd has unleashed a random wish generator in
the form of Ryoga. Naturally, Ryoga's first act is to try to give Akane
her own wish. After that, Hiroshi daydreams a little too loudly and
gets his fondest desire. And someone gets the date of their dreams.

Anyway, before I have to go off and take my lithium tablets after a long time being off
it, I must go down on my knees and start begging.
Anyone out there with a kind heart, a razor-sharp mind, a gentle hand, a will of steel
and the dedication of a samurai?
As you can see me and Glazius are kind being run ragged here. Him with college, me
with my teaching and my rather strange condition, heck I've used up all my sick days
already, I must ask for volunteers of sound mind and body to join in the fight to make
the FFML community a better place either by giving honest heart-felt praise or honest
heart-felt beatings to the ego. ^_^
Yes, that's right the FFML SLR team is expanding!
As I said, earlier there are a few requirements. So unlike Glazius, who got in scott-free, the
entrants are gonna get a test. Not a very hard test. A very simple variation of a test I use
in class and in the writing workshops I facilitate to determine skill level. <evil laugh>
It will give me an idea of who you are and what you're capable of contributing to the team.
Nothing more, nothing less.
All interested parties send a simple introduction to me over a two-week period starting the
moment this hits the ML. At the end of the two week period, all those who passed my
initial examination will be sent the test simultaneously. There is a time-limit of one week
to answer.
Everyone who passes will be notified of contact procedures and secret passwords etc, etc. ^_^
In addition, the FFML SLR will expand into other endeavors so as to help the FFML better.
Hell, the way the outline for the new SLR team is going, we might be able to help a lot of
newbies out there
Also, there is no need to be an established writer to be accepted. I know for a fact that there
are some damn intelligent, English-language-competent, English-major-in-college-trained
lurkers out there. So if you want to contribute something to the ML and pay it back for all the
wonderful stories it has given you and you know you're capable of doing it, send that
introduction over and go for the exam.
