As I said I don't own Tenchi, some guy in Japan does, but I am a
lot like Ryoko.
Chapter Two
Tenchi's Trip to Jurai
All stood down by the lake and some cried as Tenchi and Ryoko
prepared to take off in Ryo oki. Ayeka and Sasami cried because
they knew that things would never be the same when they got back
home. Mihoshi just cried because he was leaving while Kiyone and
Washu watched in disgust at her display.
"When I return I will clear everything up, I promise. Until then make
yourselves at home and take care. My business is short there but the
flight there will take a long time, we will hurry every chance we got."
Tenchi spoke authority about the trip, while he was unsure of how
long it would take, the last time they were traveling on a broken
down ship while being hunted by Galaxy Police. This time the trip
wasn't like that, and for that he was grateful.
"Take care Lord Tenchi, and come back soon." Ayeka managed
through her tears. He was going to be alone with that "devil woman",
she would most likely try to have her way with Tenchi. She was
really worried about her love.
"Tenchi," Sasami tried to be cheerful, "say hi to my mom and dad for
me please? I haven't seen them in soo long."
Mihoshi couldn't speak through her tears but managed to hug Tenchi
til he turned blue from lack of oxygen. Then came a group hug and
Ryoko and Tenchi boarded the cabbit spaceship and took off.
Once past the Milky Way Ryoko started looking at Tenchi curiously,
she didn't know why she had been chosen but it was time to get the
info out of him.
"Tenchi?", she asked seductively.
"Yes, Ryoko?"
"Why are we going to Jurai?"
"If you must know I wish to speak to the King so I can tell him I have
no interest in ascending to the throne there or anywhere," he lied.
He couldn't tell her of his real plans, that wouldn't be a good idea yet.
"Tenchi, that is your rightful place, why would you ever turn that
down?"
"My vacation cleared my head and I made some decisions about my
life and ruling Jurai just isn't me. All I really know is life on Earth
and that is just too precious for me to give up."
"What about Ayeka and Sasami?," Ryoko was starting to wonder
about his sanity.
"They will just have to accept it. I am not going to change my mind.
As for the rest of the girls, they will have to decide whether or not
they stay." He was done talking she could see so she dropped it.
Back on Earth things were busy. Sasami had decided that Ayeka
needed to learn a way she could be happy here, what better way
than to attend the local University. She got Ayeka a catalog and
application and left them on her futon so she would find them.
Tenchi's friend Ranma had come by to see how things were going,
Washu wanted him to be her new test subject, which he got out of
with barely the shirt on his back.
Along with Ranma was his fiancee, Akane, they were on a training
trip and wanted to know if Tenchi was interested. They stayed a
few days and made life interesting for the girls and Yosho, when
Washu found out that Ranma had a curse she became even more
intent on making him a guinea pig.
After Ranma and Akane left things started to settle down and get
back to the abnormal that is normal in the Misaki house. The
common thread all the women felt was an intense depression
since Tenchi was off with Ryoko. Moping was normal these
days.
Ryoko and Tenchi reached Jurai in three days, and Ryo oki
was about to give out so they rented a room so they all could
rest for a few days. Ryoko had noticed that Nagi's ship,
Ken Oki, was close by and hoped there wouldn't be much
trouble this time. She had come to dread the idea of Nagi's
appearances, she was attempting to settle down so Tenchi
would fall in love with her, and Nagi would never let that
happen as long as she was alive.
The morning came and Tenchi woke, showered, and dressed
all before Ryoko stirred, the cabbit was awake but she was
harmless.
He walked over to the sleeping form and spoke into her ear,
"Ryoko, time to get up, it's almost time."
Instinctively she rolled over and grabbed him by the neck
while purring like a cat, then started stretching her naked
body.
"Time for what?," was her sleepy response.
"Time for us to go face the King and Nagi."
She sat up with a start thinking he had given her up so
she'd go to jail.
"WHAT?????!!!!!!!!"
"Trust me," was all he said.
Standing in front of the court assembled Ryoko shivered in
fear that she would be arrested.
"Tell us Lord Tenchi, what is your business here today?"
That head judge sure was impressive in size.
"I have come to beg you to release Ryoko from her charges. They
were brought against her nearly 750 years ago and she has changed
drastically your Honor. She has been sentenced by being locked in
a cave for most of those years, and since her release from said cave
she has been a model citizen. She helps my family with chores and
causes little trouble to others. As crown prince of Jurai I make this
request."
"Very well, allow us to deliberate this."
He turned to Ryoko and saw that she was crying. "Why are you
doing this?," she asked quietly.
"That's what friends are for," was all he said and gave her the biggest
smile, her heart melted with an outpouring of love for him.
"We have made our decision. Nagi, please rise." Ryoko turned and
saw her arch enemy. "We, the Supreme Court of the Planet Jurai,
release you, Ryoko, from any and all charges. Nagi, there is no longer
a bounty on the head of Ryoko so you are free to go. There is one
condition to your release though Miss, you must continue to keep a
clean record, and as of this day are banned from the planet of Jurai."
With that his gavel hit the bench.
"I have one other request for the King of Jurai, if I may in private as
it is not a court matter?" It was almost over now he kept thinking.
"As you wish Lord Tenchi."
His private chamber was elegant to say the least, they both were
amazed by it.
"What is it you wish to discuss with me Lord Tenchi?", the king
asked respectfully.
"As you are aware, I am the grandson of your son, Yosho. I,
like him, have no interest in ruling over Jurai, I wish to abdicate
my standing with the Royal Family."
"I suppose not, you are of Earth and our ways and traditions
are very foreign to you. I will also allow this to be done."
"Thank you, Your Majesty. Although there is one more favor
I must ask?", Tenchi asked slightly afraid.
"Yes?"
"I would like to take one of your ship's back to Earth so
Ayeka and Sasami have a way home, I think they will be returning
soon."
"Why is that young Tenchi?"
"I am trying to end all the chaos at my house and one of my
decisions will make them very unhappy. I am sure they will
want to leave."
"Very well then. You must leave immediately as ruled by the
court so go to the docks and one will be waiting. Tenchi,
before you go, I hope your decision was worth it."
"I know it was", and with that they left for the hotel to get
their things and went to the docks.
