Slayers: Wild
By Silentnova
Slayers and its characters are the creations and
properties of someone else, when I find out whom,
I'll say whom it belongs to. Ranma 1/2 and its
characters are the creations and property of Rumiko
Takahashi. The author is writing this story with
neither intentions of profit nor designs for
acclaim. Please, do not sue this poor author.
Criticisms & comments are said to be appreciated
and even rumoured to be used. Please, I can be

Prologue
Morris the Mage considered himself a simple man.
Others who knew him, there were few others,
considered him a madman.
Although mad, Morris had a single line of common
knowledge running a straight line through his
twisted mind, "Shrabinigdo, bad. Lina Inverse,
bad."
He never worried about the King of the Mozoku,
since Ceipheed, the Dragon Lord, had split the
Demon Lord into seven pieces and sealed the pieces
away forever.
The latter thought though...Lina Inverse in any
amount of a three-digit kilometre radius more than
frightened him.
It was a thought that drove Morris to dig a deep
hole in the ground (then fancy it up afterwards)
and begin researching obscure magic, so he could
have a means to protect himself.
Unfortunately, obscure magic is something that
draws Lina Inverse, like flame does moths.
She was standing on the other side of his
underground lab from him, admiring his decor. "Wow,
makes the last place look just like a hole in the
ground!" she said.
"Thank you." Morris replied. "Now then, please
allow me one small pleasure. How did you manage to
sneak past all of nefarious traps?" Funny,
according to all the stories he had heard about
her, Morris expected Lina to be more...than she
was.
"Easy! I just followed you in!" Lina answered. "If
you want to be secretive about anything, then you
should look behind you once in a while. You never
know who might be there!"
"Oh!" Morris smiled. "But Inverse, don't think just
because you made it all the way here with no
problem that I have tricks left! Look below your
feet! With that, I won't let you take my life's
works!"
Below her feet lay a giant arcane symbol. It
stretched across the entire room. "Wow! You did all
this with candy? I'm impressed!"
"Do not mock it! It is a terrible Mozoku summoning
spell, and it is ready to do as I bid!" Morris
struck the floor with the butt of his staff. The
room began to shake. A hot light began to pour out
of the arcane symbol lines. A sweet smell began to
fill the room from the melting candy.
It was this moment Gourry Gabriev entered the room.
"Lina, what's taking you so long? Zelgadis is
getting tired of holding up the room you blew up
with your fireball!"
Not receiving any answer, Gourry was then
distracted by something on the floor. "Wow! A
popping rock! I loved those when I was a kid!" He
scooped up his find and put it into his mouth.
The blood drained from Morris' face. He would've
shouted, "Hey you!" since moving an object on an
arcane symbol when it was being used to cast a
spell would have serious side effects. "Don't touch
that, unless you want to kill us all by summoning a
star into this room, or voiding all existence!"
Morris though, instead chose to turn around and run
towards his broom closet.
When there was no explosion or sudden loss of
everything behind him though, Morris stopped
running. He slowly turned around. Two new people
were in the room. "No." he muttered. "Not that
spell! Not the, 'Bring forth Lina Inverse's equals
in chaos and temper' spell!"
The two people, who were teenagers, seemed to be
bickering. Evidently one, a boy with a pigtail,
said something insulting to the other, a girl with
short hair, since the girl hit the boy over the
head with a large mallet after.
Morris fainted. One thought passed through his mind
before he hit the ground, "I'm digging a deeper
hole, and never coming out!"
