Yes, actually. It's an adjective derived from the word "ebony".

A synonym of "ebon" is "black".
It's also an attempt to use a 'fancy' word in place of a 'plain' one.
If I were to rewrite that line I might say:
She glowed with an ebony aura which seemed to absorb the surrounding
light. Her eyes narrowed, her tears flowing as she stared at Ranma.
But then, that's just me.
