Once upon a time, there was a bookworm of a boy named Wufei. He loved
peace, almost as much as the Peacecraft family, and he loved books, almost
as much as rabid dogs like raw meat. Unfortunately he never got out much,
so his parents decided to help him out and arranged a marriage between him
and a tomboy of a girl named Nataku. She believed that you had to go out
and fight for what you believe in, namely peace. So, the two lived in happy
matrimony, until one day Nataku got herself killed. She decided to go out
and fight some people who decided that the space colony that they were
living in, would last longer by obeying them. Well, Wufei found out, and
got angry, and decided to pilot the Gundam that was built for Nataku. Or
was it built for him. Can't remember. ;P Anyways, after a bit arguing
about how evil Gundams are, he got in and used the Gundam for revenge,
killing those who killed his wife. Unfortunately, the bad men didn't like
that, and destroyed the space colony that Wufei was living on, killing
everyone who lived on it. So Wufei decided to go out and get revenge and
named his Gundam after his late wife, Nataku.

(This is just a fairy tale rendition of the information that I remember
concerning about the information that you have requested. Unfortunately,
it's been a couple years, so I could be wrong on some of this, but I do know
that Wufei was a bookworm, Nataku was a tomboy, they argued about peace and
fighting, she got killed and the entire colony was destroyed leaving Wufei
and the Gundam the sole survivors, and that the Gundam was named Nataku in
honor of his dead wife. Of course, I was only able to watch the first half
of tv series and all three Endless Waltz OAV fansubbed, and none of the
manga. So if their is something their that explains about Nataku, well, I

PS - Originally, Wufei's first Gundam was named Shenlong, then it got a
different name for the second, upgraded version. Don't know about the name
of the Endless Waltz version. And out of all of the Gundam Pilots, only
Wufei had a drastic name change for his Gundam. Everyone else just added a
letter or a number or something, while keeping the base name. I think. ;)
And if you want to correct me, please go ahead! I'd really like that! I
hate being wrong or misinformed!
