Fallen Angel by Phil Chan
All Ranma characters (C) Rumiko Takahashi

Ranma looked sadly at the gathered group who were fighting yet again over
him. Ryoga, Mousse, and Kuno were fighting each other to get the chance to
fight him, whilst his fiances were arguing again. Over him.

To his left he could see his baka father and Tendo-san playing shogi for
perhaps the millionth time. Didn't they ever stop playing that damn board
game?

Ranma sighed softly and watched as the assembled group fought each other.
Did anyone care about what he thought? Did anyone even care? His father, who
anyone would be ashamed of, his mother, who he couldn't even go to see
because of his curse...

A tear threatened to roll down Ranma's face, but he was used to that.
Hardening his gaze, and mentally pushing everything back inside to the
deepest recesses of his mind, he erected new walls to protect himself. To
protect yourself, you had to be strong. Emotions were Chaotic. Control was
Order. Order controls Chaos. Use control. That was the theory.
Unfortunately, it wasn't working enough.

Ranma ran out of the dojo, unnoticed by everyone, to his special place under
the bridge. He spent the rest of the day there letting his emotions take
over. Finally, at night, he returned to the dojo. Kasumi and Nabiki, who
were both awake, noticed Ranma's red eyes and tear-stained face. They looked
at Ranma sadly and said nothing as he wiped his eyes and went to the dojo to
vent his frustration and anger for letting his emotions run wild.

[2 days later]

*"RANMA!"*

Ranma sighed as he turned his head to Akane. With Kasumi's help, he had been
improving his language skills, so he would not upset Akane anymore with his
bad use of the language. "What is it?"

Akane slammed down her cooking in front of him. "Eat this! Now!"

Ranma looked at it. Obviously, her skill at cooking had not changed.
Whenever she was angry, she tended to put anything together. And anything
means anything.

"So... this looks pleasant. What were the ingredients?" Ranma asked
carefully.

*"Are you saying that my cooking is bad?! Ranma no BAKA!"* she screamed and
pulled out her mallet. Ranma sighed, stood up and waited for her to vent her
anger. Again.

[5 days later]

Ranma sadly walked along the pathway, alone. He had no friends now. Uccha...
Ukyo wasn't a friend anymore. Now she was one of them. Eager to break him
and control him. Not caring about what *HE* wanted. Ranma wondered how much
more he could take.

[2 days later]

Ranma spent the weekend by himself in the mountains. As he trained, he
realised that he had no one to turn to anymore, with the exception of Kasumi
and possibly Nabiki.

"...ranma...."

Ranma looked in the cold water and saw Ranko. The form he used to disguise
himself from his mother, who wanted to kill 'Ranma' and turn 'Ranko' into a
proper woman.

"...airen...."

Did he have anyone left?

"...saotome...."

What the...

"....ranma no baka...."

No... not them!

"....die...."

For the first time since Jusenkyo, Ranma screamed out his emotions. *"No no
NOOO!! DAMN IT WHY CAN'T YOU LEAVE ME THE F*** ALONE!!"*

The crowd stopped as they watched Ranma curl up crying and smashing his
bloodied fists into the ground over and over again... before watching him
stand up and run.

[4 days later]

Ranma was a nervous wreck. He now spent the nights awake, staring into the
sky and at day only sleeping a few hours. As usual, the fathers did not
care, and neither did the fiances or rivals. Only Kasumi, who cared for
Ranma like a little brother and Nabiki, who had the same reasons, cried for
him.

Ranma wept silently during the night.

[2 days later]

Nodoka came and found out about the curse. She gave two options. Sepukku or
being disowned. Genma immediately disowned Ranma, believing that he would be
saved if Ranma was disowned. After all, if Ranma isn't manly, what does it
matter if he is not your son?

Ranma was silent for a long time, before walking out of the dojo, with
Kasumi and Nabiki pleading him to come back. Ranma ignored them and ran.

[the next day later]

Ranma stood at the edge of the cliff, watching down. He estimated that it
was a drop of over 10 miles, enough to kill him.

"Ranma!" It was Akane. <So, she finally decided that she likes me?>

Ranma looked towards the sun as it set upon the edges of the sea the cliff
overlooked. "I don't blame any of you for trying to find happiness, but you
didn't have to try and rip away mine to get yours."

Akane had no answer. Apparently neither did any of the other people behind
her.

Ranma saw Ryoga, who looked like he was actually worried. Kuno and Mousse,
on the other hand, looked like they couldn't care less. Surprising,
Happosai, Cologne and Tendo-san looked... sad. Soun wasn't even crying his
buckets of water.

As for the fiances, they were begging at him to come back. Ranma did not
see his mother or father... no, Nodoka or Genma there. A tear rolled down
his cheek. He was nothing. He had lost his family name. With a scream, he
jumped.

[xx days later]

Ranma woke up. Where was he? There were no words to describe the majestic
surroundings. As Ranma moved, he noticed that giant white wings were
sticking out of his back.

{Those Are A Part Of You Now}

Ranma turned around, and somehow, immediately knew who the speaker was. He
kneeled down to the entity.

{You Are Now One Of Mine,} the voice said gently.

Heaven was silent. The other Angels shared one common trait. They had no
emotions. Ranma know one thing again. He was alone. It was a feeling that he
was used to. Ranma steeled his emotions and exercised control over them.
After all, he was going to be doing this for a long time.

[500 years later]

Ranma looked down at Midgard and sighed. He had not aged since the time he
died and remained at the age of 18. Apparently, the body accepts the age
'18' as the beginning of immortality. He had isolated himself for a long
time. Apparently, all the new angels like him eventually lose all their
emotions. Maybe that would be a good thing.

>From a distance, Kami-sama looked at Ranma with a sad eye. It was time.

[2 days later]

Ranma felt utter rejection. He had been banished for no reason at all. He
was now one of the Fallen. The only odd thing was, why did he still have his
white wings? Surely they would have mutated into demon wings or maybe even
have turned dark. Instead, they still shined brightly. And where was he
going anyway?

Kami-sama smiled and sighed at the same time. Ranma would be back in a new
alternate Midgard, and still retain the powers which benefited a Angel, as
well as the darker aspects of the Fallen. In addition, Ranma would also have
the personal protection of Kami-sama.

The only thing that Kami-sama regretted was the look on Ranma's face when he
was expelled from Heaven. Kami-sama would never forget that.
