Towermere's "helpfulness" concerning Amelia's possible sexual 
experimentation seems suspicious to me, coming from a man who 
otherwise seems quite rigid.  Assuming that Amelia isn't leaving
something out, he wasn't even prompted by any indications that 
she was intent on having her way with some unsuspecting page.  
Instead, he seems to have encouraged a chaste young girl to 
indulge herself freely.  This smacks of an ulterior motive.
