This is my complete story arc for "The New World," formerly
"The Drowned Girl." I tried correcting some of the fighting
moves and such.

Keep in mind that the story takes place two year after the
series. I assumed he got a little better in his training.

This is my rewrite of the "Drowned Girl." I did a major
rewrite and change the plot around and took it into a new
direction. I agreed with everybody who said that it was
turning into a generic fanfiction. I hope this takes it
into a more original plot.

I do now own Ranma or any of its characters. I wish I
did so I could receive the praise and money from such a
well loved series. A talented writer and a whole bunch
of men in business suits in a far away country own Ranma .

Part IV

It took Ranma five days to regain consciousness from his battle with Klun.
The
first thing he noticed was Miyun and seven other Amazons taking care of him.
The
second thing he noticed was that he wasn't wearing anything. Which would
explain all
the Amazons dreamy looks. He asked about the treasures and Soap. For two
days, he
wasn't allowed to move and his body did not disagree with the Amazons'
treatment.

Soap visited him on the third day. "The young ones tell me that you are
recovering remarkably fast," said Soap, "I congratulate you on overcoming
the cat-fist
and turning it into the tiger-claw."

"How did that happen?" asked Ranma. The elder hopped down her staff and
sat
on a nearby chair.

"The cat-fist is a power that is so overwhelming that it can only be
controlled by
fear," said Soap, "during your battle, you lost all you fears. Only then,
will the cat-fist
turn into the tiger claw."

Ranma nodded, "Its funny, I lost my curse and gained all this power. Yet,
I wish
I could go back to it all if it meant I could go home."

Soap's expression dimmed, "I'm sorry Ranma. We couldn't find the jewel of
revelations. From what we gathered from the prisoners, Klun already sold a
portion of
our treasures to merchants. We don't know where the jewel is."

Ranma took a deep breath. His only means home was now lost and he had no
idea where he could get the Happosai's mirror. His hopes began to sink
more.

Soap bowed, "I'm sorry Ranma, it is we who have failed you." With that,
the
elder climbed on her cane. "Rest now and recover," said the elder, "We will
talk again."
The Amazon elder then walked out.

Ranma closed his eyes. A tear fell down his cheek.

Epilogue

Ranma stood at the edge of the village. The sun was barely rising and the
village
was still quiet. Ranma now dressed in a blue tunic, black pants and shoes.
He was given
a backpack, a few changes of clothes, and some survival supplies.

"Must you leave?" asked Soap. Ranma turned around surprised.

"I have to go find the jewel," said Ranma as he continued walking.

Soap walked along with him. "You could stay here. Help us build the
village.
Miyun would make a great wife. You and her will make a strong family. We
could teach
you and you teach us."

Ranma stopped and considered her words. "I don't think I've ever really
had a
home or a such a tempting offer." Ranma looked at the rising sun, "I've
lived my life
trying to be the best. I have to find the jewel." He continued walking.

"Does she mean that much to you?" asked Soap.

Ranma paused again, "It used to be about her. I lived and fought for her.
Then
we seemed to have separated. Things change, but we fight it too much. Now,
I am doing
it for me. I am ready to let them all go, but I belong in my own time. I
am going to be
my own man from now on. I thought maybe we could work things out, but then
I started
thinking differently. Maybe we should go our own ways. I now know that if
I should go
back. I will set everything right."

Soap, "You have thought much about this young one."

"I have learned a lot," said Ranma. Soap raised her hand.

"Your story will go into our sacred records. Nobody will read it until the
time
comes. Do you have anything to say?" said Soap.

"I will set everything right. I promise," Cologne closed the book.

 "Great grandmother knew?" asked Shampoo.

Cologne stood on her staff, "I had suspicions, child. But I had to let
fate run its
course."

Shampoo looked down on the book, "then airen lost forever."

Cologne went up to Shampoo and opened another chapter of the ancient book.
The elder pointed to the chapter for Shampoo to read, "We have to tell
everybody about
this. His mother deserves to know about this as least. But there is a
chapter that is only
meant for us Amazons."

<I stayed by the edge of the village watching him leave. I wish he could
have
stayed and helped our village. I did not have the heart to tell him that I
had the jewel in
my possession. I held it in my hand as I saw him leave out in the distance.
I so much
wanted to give it to him.

Ranma did not know the gem of revelations' real purpose. If the holder had
a
purpose in life, the gem would ensure that the person would fulfill that
purpose. I know
his purpose was to help us. I also know that Ranma Saotome is destined for
much more.
My deceit grows deeper along with my shame. We had a mirror in our
possession
that could have taken Ranma back home. I held the mirror night before and
wished for
Ranma to go where he belongs now. The young warrior did not go back home.
Instead,
he is now leaving our village and into a new world. My old age and
intuition tells me
that for the future, this world needs a Ranma Saotome, for now at least.

For that, I will let our Amazon heirs correct the shame I have brought on
us for
our deception. He is a noble man with a pure heart. It is I, as elder of
Amazons, charge
the future generations to correct our dishonor and bring happiness to the
warrior tiger.>

The End

We'll folks, that's the end of this story. Please send C&C. I would like
to thank all of
you for sending your support and making sure I kept with "The Drowned Girl."
I think
this version rules. I already have a sequel in mind and I hope to start
working at it soon.
