As for this story... sorry, but it wasn't believable.

who said it had to be? thats the whole point of spam - to tell little
joky tales that don't HAVE to conform to reality... demanding a
adherance to cannon beyond a certain point limits creativity, and
becomes a self limiting dogma. Quite a lot of the fun of the fanfic is
being able to play with characters, situations, and make them
show the things you see in a character.

FYI, the word is "canon." A cannon is a big gun. Also, this wasn't tagged as
spam, nor even as a spamfic, as you can see from the subject header above.

*ahem* But I digress.

Do fics have to be limited to canon? No, of course not. But there are times when
disregarding the canon negates the whole point of a story. This kind of story
utterly fails unless we readers can believe that the character really is getting
her just desserts; otherwise we're trying to laugh at a banana peel in front of
the old folks' home. This, in turn, depends on her actions in the story being
believable, that you can read it and say yes, I can see this character doing
this in this situation. There are stories out there where this has been done
successfully; this isn't one of them.

Not that this is always good - unless there is something
recognisable of the original person in a FF char, whats the point?

Yeah, what? :)

Still I do agree - something about this story didn't ring true... but it
was funny<smiles>

Not to me.
