After writing this story, I realized that it has strong echoes of
both 'Happi Days' and a little story Nicholas Leifker wrote a while
back called 'Contagion'. I wrote this as an original peice, however.
No insult or injury to these two is intended.
Then stop making me laugh so hard! ^_^
Seriously, it's great to see someone do a good job with this idea. I
wrote "Contagion" back in 1995-96, when I was first trying my hand at
comedy. Some people like it... but it's something I know could have been
done better. Nice to see someone did.
Beyond that, great job. The rules have changed; the device too many
people use in determining their identity is stripped away. Fortunately,
the same is true for everyone else. So what happens? An excellent
extrapolation. Some, like Ataru's, were expected; others, like the
Saotome horizontal dance, weren't. In the end, though, I can see it -
and, more importantly, laugh with it.
Now when's the next chapter of The Clan? ^_^
