Incredibly interesting. That's all I can say. It does make sense, yes, especially after reading your author's notes at the end. I do like the idea of sex being seen as more than an opportunity for titillation in a fanfic (gee, in't that a novel concept ^_^). Your prose actually disturbed me, and it's a rare fanfic that can do that.

I don't actually know why I read this, because normally almost anything with a 'lime' or 'lemon' tag that lands in my in-box gets deleted. I must've been *really* bored. ^_^

The dialogue in this fic I found incredibly poignant, and some of it, especially in the crucial scenes, I found scarily accurate. Especially Misato's dialogue. And Shinji's responses.

Overall, I'd say you've done an excellent job, and with a particularly difficult subject. Misato is most definitely my favourite EVA character. And you more than do her justice here.

Much as I like Rei as a character, (and there are certain aspects of her character that intrigue me more every day,) I'm glad you didn't feel the need to include her here as well. Her presence would have been... well, inappropriate is the best word I can think of. Maybe superfluous, but that doesn't capture it either. Mankind needs a construction kit to assemble words for concepts that are hard to describe. What I'm trying to say is that Rei wasn't needed here. This subject matter precludes some of what Rei stands for. So I'm glad you left her out.

I look forward to seeing further work from you, and hopefully further work from others that reflects some of the themes and elements you explore here. In essence, I hope you have inspired the other writers of this list. As much as your writing has affected myself. If not more.
