Subject: [FFML] Notes on Home/Heart

Ever had one of those days when you write something, then circumstances come up and you promise yourself you'll get back to writing on it, and days pass...and months pass...and when you finally come back to writing, you read it and say to yourself, "God, this is *stupid*!"

I somewhat had that experience.

Remember "Be it ever so humble...the making of a strong heart"? Or the title later shortened to Home/Heart? The lovely Ranma/Sailor Moon tale of two girls who get switched by the most moronic of circumstances into each other worlds? The one that got started about two or three years ago and never finished? Yep. That's the one. Well, I, as the author, have come back to work on it, and I hereby pronounce it as crap.

Doesn't mean I'll stop writing on it though. So what if it was the first fanfic I've ever written. Do I just leave it to hang dangling...even though probably no one even remembers it? Or do I  yank my brain up by its brastraps, polish off the layers of dust lying on my cerebral cortex, and actually crank out something that, even if doesn't deserve a Nobel Prize in fiction, then at least get my brain carving out some new neural pathways in the creativity department?

Hence, I therefore submit to you, after so long, the reposting of the Home/Heart series *with* a new title, *with* some revisions, and, may I shudder to say it, *with* a new chapter. Please be patient with me. It's not easy getting back on a bike, especially if it's rusty and has flat tires.

With joy,

LaShawn Wanak (nee Taylor)
