Quick Recap for everyone else besides the ones(and I mean both of you) who
have been following the fic: Amy Anderson, better known as Sailor Mercury, is
also a werewolf. When the Senshi were captured and tortured by a strange
little man, she was forced to reveal her secret, unaware Jupiter was watching.

Determined to discover the truth, Jupiter broke into Amy's apartment building
and discovered the secret basement lair where Amy's fellow weres were
conducting a religious service to their "mother" a being known only as the
Lady of the Moon.

Discovered, the Pack, at the Lady's direction, had Jupiter fight for a place
among them against a young were named Hiro. She won, only to watch as Hiro
was killed by his father, who then challenged her to a fight to the death. . .

C&C, public or private, appreciated.

Just say yes to anyone pointing a bazooka at you.

P.S. There's more at the end of the fic.

Her mouth was dry, her eyes wide as dinner plates. In her time as a Senshi, sh
e had seen things that would put some of the worst atrocities in human
history into the same caliber as Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, and Ghandi.

She had firmly believed that nothing could shock her anymore.

She looked down at the body at her feet. Slowly, he was transforming back to
his human form. She looked back up at the half man, half wolf creature that
stood before her. Casually, he tossed away the heart and spine fragment in
its hand off to one side where it landed with a wet plop. Then, ever so
slowly, he raised his hand, his long red tongue snaking out and licking away
the blood.

"Tasty."

Jupiter felt the shock being replaced by cold anger.

"They're all fools," Kanza said. "I know the truth you know."

"Really?"

"Oh yes," He made a snuffing noise. "The truth that they don't want to
acknowledge."

Something was forming inside her, a variation on her powers. Something
powerful, fueled by her growing anger.

"We're creatures of darkness. Beasts in human form. These idiots play at
being creatures of the light. They preach holding back the Beast when all
along we're supposed to embrace it."

Words, three words she could say.

"Jupiter Oak Sword." It filled her hand, a blazing sword shaped like a leaf,
but longer and thinner.

"A weapon? You would use a weapon on me?"

"Actually, I'd tear you apart with my bare hands, but I can't bring myself to
touch you," she hefted the sword. "This'll have to do."

"Then do it, if you can." It wasn't much of a challenge, but it was enough
for Jupiter and she sprang forward, the sword in her hand slicing through the
air. He avoided it easily and she spent the next few minutes swinging at him
before stepping back and rethought her strategy. She was still angry with
him, but it was now a cold rage, burning in her soul and her thoughts were
cold and clear.

He was fast, and she there was no way she could use her energy attacks in an
enclosed environment, not with all these innocents around.

He growled and rushed her and Jupiter found herself on the defensive, dodging
blows that would have killed her from the sheer force of their impact had she
been human.

Ducking a swipe at her head, she lunged forward with the sword, cutting a
narrow gash in his side. Astonished, he touched the wound and stared at the
blood on his hand as Jupiter drew back to give herself some room.

A few moments passed and again he examined the wound. "Its not healing. . ."
he said slowly and then he looked up, his eyes narrowed as a grin passed
across his face. "How interesting."

Then he let out an unearthly howl and rushed forward, his claws making
whistling noises as they sliced through the air. Jupiter leapt over his head,
planting her booted feet on his head and using it to catapult herself across
the arena.

Landing, Jupiter spun on her heel and took up a gaurd position, the blade
horizontally extended lengthwise across her chest, her free hand vertical,
fingertips towards the ceiling, palm facing the opposite direction of the
blade.

Grinning, he charged her, swinging his vicious claws in wide arcs.

Jupiter ducked inside his reach as she knocked aside his left arm with her
free hand. Reversing her grip on the hilt, she tried to slice open his
middle, but he twisted aside nimbly, and left his side wide open. Seeing what
might have been her only chance, and curious about that sort of thing,
Jupiter drove the blade upwards into his body to see if there was anything
vital under all that fur and muscle.

Apparently there was, for he stiffened and howled in pain and fury as blood
gushed from his mouth.

Jupiter stepped back, releasing her grip on the sword, which promptly
vanished. She felt no anger now, just weary and tired.

"He was never very accepting of what he was." Shingay said quietly as he
stepped up beside her. "His parents were devout, you might even say fanatical
followers of the Christian faith. When we found him, he was on a street
corner with his father, preaching the Bible to city dwellers. When the change
came to him, he ran into the mountains, convinced that he had been touched by
evil. We tried for a long time to convince him that he wasn't what he
thought." He sighed heavily. "Apparently we should have tried harder."

"You couldn't have known," Jupiter said softly, laying her hand on his
shoulder.

"That's not true, we did know, we thought we could handle it." He stared at
the remains of Kanza for a moment longer and then straightened. "We welcome
you to our Pack, Sister Jupiter, you will always have a home here."

"I. . .thank you," Jupiter said, inclining her head.

"Come here tomorrow night, go to the Penthouse. I will be waiting."

Jupiter nodded and headed for the vent she had came in by where she found her
camera, still where she had dropped it. "Well, I guess I'll see you
tomorrow," She said as she started towards the vent opening.

"Where are you going Sister?" Shingay asked from behind her.

"Back out the way I came," Jupiter said, indicating the vent with her thumb.

"There is no need," Shingay said. "That outcropping of rock to your right
hides the door to the stairs."

"Oh. Right," Jupiter said and started towards the indicated outcropping.

"Are you sure this is wise?" Asked Daraka, Shingay's second in command. "How
do we know she's not a Tulle spy? They've tried throwing Metahumans at us
before."

"We don't," Shingay replied. "But the Lady would. If she stopped me from
killing her, she must have a reason. So we will let our Sister live until we
have a reason to do otherwise."

"As you say, Pack Leader."
                **************
Even before she had become a Senshi, Lita had loved exercise. Most notably,
the simple act of jogging. There was something exhilarating about a steady
run, not racing, not walking, but just jogging down the sidewalk. Of course,
becoming a Senshi had added a whole new dimension. Namely, the rooftops.

Laughing as the night air rushed past her, tickling the underside of her
arms, Jupiter bounced from rooftop to rooftop, occasionally using her hands
to give an extra boost now and then.

As she approached the building where she lived, Jupiter put on a burst of spee
d and vaulting onto a chimney, launched herself into the open air. For two
seconds, two glorious seconds, it was as though she was flying. Then she
tucked, rolled and hit the rooftop running. Leaping across the narrow gap
between that building and the next, she dived through the open skylight,
grabbed the nearby support pole and slid to the floor. Grabbing the green gem
on her blouse, she was about to pull it off and transform back to being Lita
when she sensed that she was not alone in the darkened apartment. Turning,
she saw Amy standing near the window, lit by the light from the street.

"Amy? Ames?"

"You can't call me that anymore. . .you won't be able to call me that
anymore," Amy said starting to walk forwards.

"Um, can we talk about this?"

"No," said Amy as the darkness was lit by her suddenly glowing yellow eyes
and peirced by the sound of ripping cloth.

While writing the scene of Jupiter going over the rooftops I had this mental
picture of the Senshi battling youma in a city lit by gaslight. The thing
was, it was Tokyo, with 21st century skyscrapers made out of stone. It was
very futuristic gothic and at the same time, very 19th century London. That
make any sense?

Anyway, Since I'm about as un-gothic as you can get, and my time is limited,
I thought perhaps one of you might want to take it.
