Following this note I'll be posting the third and third-and-a-half (?)
entries in my series known collectively as "Apotheosis," which should
ultimately encompass some thirty stories. The series crosses over Ranma 1/2
(manga), Sailor Moon (anime), and Tenchi Muyo! (OAV), with tie-ins to
Birdy the Mighty (anime), Vision of Escaflowne (anime), Spriggan,
another anime series to be named later, "The Adventures of Buckaroo
Banzai," A. Merritt's "The Face in the Abyss," two radio series -
"The Fourth Tower of Inverness" and "Ruby: Adventures of a Galactic
Gumshoe," and two old pulp series, the Shadow and the Avenger.
The third story also refers to the movie "Big Trouble In Little China"
and the A. Merritt and Hannes Bok novel, "The Black Wheel."
Cool. ^_^
Same apology as for the last story - this was originally going to
be a very short interlude between the Ranma/Sailor Moon cross-over and
the first Ranma/Tenchi cross-over. Oh well. May be a bit boring for action
fans, since this is mainly setting out a little background before things
start taking off in the fourth chapter.
Fine with me.
These stories and my other finished works can be found at my
web site: http://www.rcarson.com/rcarson/. Enjoy.
In the third chapter, "Nighthawks at the Diner," Cologne and
Happosai hoist a few at the Nekohanten, and Sailor Pluto drops by.
As always Setsuna spoils the night for everyone. ^_^
The third-and-a-half chapter was inspired by a comment by Elsa
Bibat, pointing out that there may be a few readers out there not
familiar with the Shadow, or the Avenger, or Buckaroo Banzai, or
Chinese history at the turn of the century, who may be a bit confused
by the way I've mixed all these things together. Therefore I've taken
the liberty of fleshing out a little of the timeline I've developed
for this series. Don't worry, this is mainly stuff that serves as
undergirding for the stories and probably wouldn't make it into the
series proper - no great secrets are revealed herein.
Oooh, I inspired something! Cool! And the Master of Darkness is going to
have an appearance. Gotta read!
