For thos thinking that I mistyped WAFF..I din't this is my first Dark And
Freaky Feeling
The First Battle of Every Day
"Please mother, no more," the girl cried, "I didn't mean to break it!" The
child's mother didn't relent, she continued to beat the already bruised
child, "Don't you understand? I lopve you, that is why I push you so hard!"
as she explained this the mother emphasized her point with a sharp, painful
slap. "You've failed me yet again, you prove unworthy AGAIN! You know when
you fail there is a price!" The physical punishment had stopped but each
word struck ten times as hard as her hands.
Calming, the mother asked her daughter, "Why do you insist on failing? Why
do you make me do this?" Sheepighly the small girl replied, "I don't mother,
I don't mean to, I -OW!" as the child's explanation was cut off with a qu
ick shot to the face, the mother's face showed her fury, "SILENCE!! Do you
honestly think me stupid?! Noone could fail this much unintentionally! I
will MAKE you worthy!" with that the mother spun on her heel and left the
room, locking the door behind her. Leaving the battered, sobbing, girl
alone.
Shifting about in her bed, not quite able to free herself from the
nightmare, the young woman wimpered.
"Where is mother?" the child wondered, "She was supposed to meet me in the
front room a while ago." Wondering as she searched she came around that
fatefull corner.
Tossing about furiously in the now sweat soaked bed, the young woman fought
on some unconscious level to wake herself from this torture.
Coming around the corner, the little girl sees her mother slumped on the
floor in a funny spill, "Maybe she fell asleep while cleaning this mess" the
child thought aloud. "No, that's not like her." inching closer, that's when
she noticed the edge of the katana protruding from her mother's side. "NO!!"
the girl screamed, the realization setting in. Staring at her dead mother
the small child could almost hear her mother's voice condescending her, "You
are not worthy child," the specter chided, "you have finally proven you will
never be worthy of my love for you."
Sitting bolt upright, the young woman was finally awake, free from this
damned nightmare. At least until tonight, when it returned to haunt her once
more.
Slowly the teenager's vision focused, and she found herself staring at a
beautiful rose on the table across the room. More specificly, the lone ant
winding its way safely around the thorns. "Seems you have let someone past
your defenses little one. But not all us roses are as passive as you."
Picking the rose up, ant and all, she drops it in the trash can. "You have
proven unworthy to grace the room of, 'The Black Rose of St. Bacchus High
Scool." With that Kodachi Kuno went to prepare for school.
*Author's note: Kodachi's mother, at least in my little fic here, was
actually trying to make Kodachi more worthy of a husband, as is traditional
in Japan. Dachi just misinterpreted, as children are want to do at those
ages.
