This is an outline for crossover between Ranma � and Being Human (Robin
Williams). As with the movie, Ranma is reincarnated throughout history and
fails several times before he finally succeeds in the last incarnation.
There are silly passing references to other series' characters in each, but
the character doesn't actually show in the story.
First Incarnation:
Time period: 3000 year ago.
Place: Joketsuzoku.
Antagonist: Mu Tsu
Fianc�e: Shan Pu
Ranma accidentally wins a match with Shan Pu. Mu Tsu beats Ranma. For his
failure, Ranma is ordered to fight on front lines of battle against Ming the
Merciless who has summoned Zellos the demon to win over amazons. Ranma
killed in battle.
Second Incarnation:
Time period: Warring States
Place: China
Antagonist: Gosunkugi
Wife: Kodachi
Ranma is a minor lieutenant under the General Soun. His wife, Kodachi, has
an affair with the court magician, Gosunkugi, who is mourning the death of
his master, Chichiri. Ranma runs away from Soun, when the fighting looks
unfavorable, and starts to make his way home. Soun dies in the battle.
Gosunkugi and Kodachi, who don't want Ranma in the way, poison him upon his
return.
Third Incarnation:
Time period: End of Tokugawa Shogunte/Meiji Revolution
Place: Uninhabited Island - Hokkaido, Japan
Antagonist: The noble samurai, Tatewaki Kunou
Lover: Ukyou Kounji
Ukyou is Kunou's wife. Ranma is with his loyal servant Konatsu. The four
of them are trapped on a desert island with many other supporters of the
Tokugawa Shogunte, out of fear of the advancing Meiji Revolution, and rumors
of a man known as the Hitokiri Battousai. Several flash backs of when Ukyou
first tried to get Ranma to runaway with her to China before she was forced
to marry Kunou. Ranma never showed at the docks to meet Ukyou then, which
both hurt her, and when Kunou found out about it, put a strain on the
marriage. End flashbacks. Ranma believes that he can swim back to Japan by
island hopping, and tries to get Ukyou to go with him. She, on the other
hand, wants him to stay on the island, and even offered help him get rid of
Kunou to be with Ranma, but he goes anyway. She sees that he really was
never worth the trouble in the first place, and decides to stay on the
island with Kunou. Last words as Ranma swims out toward the horizon:
"Jackass!"
Fourth Incarnation:
Time period: 1993
Place: Nerima, Japan
Antagonist: Ryouga
Love interest: Akane
Ranma and Ryouga have been friends, but rivals since kindergarten. Both are
always trying to be the best at everything, but Ryouga always seems to be
second best. Both are also vying for the attention of one, Akane Tendou.
Ranma can't bring himself to even ask her out, while Ryouga is putting on
the moves. Fortunately for Ranma, Ryouga's advances are not all that well
appreciated. Just when it seems like Akane, who has had a crush on Ranma
from afar, will give into Ryouga's advances, Ryouga inadvertently helps
Ranma grow a spine so he can ask her out because of a conversation they
have:
Ryouga: [to Ranma] So, Ranma, how's you cousin Godai doing?
Ranma: Oh, him, just fine. He says he's going after this girl named Kyoko.
But he says he's too afraid to ask her out.
Ryouga: Kinda like you! He he he.
Ranma: [thinks] I have been pretty spineless around Akane! [Says] Ryouga you
're the best friend any guy could have! Thanks! [Runs away to the Tendou's
to finally ask Akane out.]
They get together. The end.
