Okay... all the problems with formatting problems that i've seen i know
the problem.
Re: [FFML] FW: [Ranma][xover]Life and Times: First Knight Chapter 5
the FW thing shows what it is. you've been clicking the wrong
button! there's a button called "reply to all". that way you don't have to
change the subject to say 'Re:', you don't have to manually type in the
ffml and the author's name to the recipient lists, and the thing's
properly indented so it doesn't have to look like this:
--------==Example==--------
Text More text etc etc
etc etc etc etc etc etc
%%your reply etc etc etc
etc etc etc etc etc etc
More text etc etc etc etc
etc etc
%%More reply etc etc
etc etc
--------====End====--------
which is extremely difficult to read (although not as bad as the examples
at the bottom, the above was a best-case scenario)

heh. you're supposed to change in the headers, not in this
thing. 'original message' means the one that says From: Donny Cheng
Well, I'm on a C&C roll, so... Away WE GOOO!!!
NORTON: Hey, you sound just like Ralphie-boy!
ME: ...
First Knight 5: The Strongest Woman
Well, I begged and pleaded for more of this. Now, Donny, since
you've done this, I only have one thing to say... MORE!!!
Sorry to do to this to you, but you're the closest at hand to be an
example of what NOT to do.
if you do find yourself in a situation that even the reply button doesn't
do the >, at least try to prefix your lines with SOMEthing, rather than
simply leaving them indistinguishable from the original message's lines.
I think that what happened is a few people saw others doing it because
their emailers were broken, copied it, messed it up a little, and now i've
seen even these:
-------Example
Text Text Text Text
Etc Etc%%Reply text
more reply etc
More text etc etc
etc etc%%More reply
etc etc
-------Example
Text Text more etc
etc etc etc etc etc
REPLY TEXT ETC ETC
More text etc etc
-----------End
and even as bad as this:
----
Text more text etc etc
etc etc reply etc etc
etc etc etc
More text ..... etc etc
----
If you want authors to pay attention to your C+C, make sure they can read
it.
