Simple, she looks like Ranma. People who fall in the spring of drowned
girl look like a female version of themselves.
This is not a fanfic convention either, the Herb storyline confirms
this.
You had her
saying "I know that pigtail," or some such, yet in this
story, you have Ranma wearing her hair loose.
Ranma wears his hair loose in Ruroni Ranma, not Permanent. He might have
it down from time to time. Besides, who's to say he kept it in a ponytail
all the time? The dragon's hair storyline is where he started to
definitely wear it in a pigtail permanently.
BTW since this is on the list... The dragon hair wore off during the
Dragon hair storyline. Therefore any mention of the curse in a post
thirty-eight storyline is wrong. After that story Ranma is no longer
under the spell, he just wears the dragon hair for show now.
This is something I see all the time in fafics for some reason.
There is a
rather large difference between a balck pigtail and a red
ponytail. Besides, Ranma didn't have a pigtail back then.
Two words: Hair dye.
